Large-format code reading

A 1-inch global-shutter CMOS sensor gives MV-ID5120M a 4096 × 3072 monochrome image with 3.2 µm pixels. Acquisition reaches 28 fps and decoding reaches 84 codes/sec. The exposure range extends from 60 µs to 1 sec, while a Gigabit Ethernet connection transports images, commands and decoded values from this larger frame format.

The reader is suited to broad fields containing several labels or to smaller code elements that need dense sampling, while 28 fps defines the available capture cadence. Its global shutter supports moving targets when trigger and exposure are matched to the process. The C-mount accepts task-specific optics. No light source is included, so illumination can be positioned for the field and surface. Three opto-isolated inputs and outputs provide trigger and decision exchange with the line controller.

MV-ID5060M offers 3072 × 2048 at 30 fps and 90 codes/sec but uses a rolling shutter. MV-ID5200M increases resolution to 5440 × 3648, also with a rolling shutter, and operates at 20 fps and 36 codes/sec. MV-ID5120M is the global-shutter choice among these larger fields: select it when motion geometry matters more than the additional pixels of MV-ID5200M.
