Fast mono scanning with large pixels

A 2048 × 1 mono CMOS line with 14 × 14 µm pixels gives MV-CL022-91GM a low-resolution, high-rate position in the series. It reaches 56 kHz in standard Mono 8 operation and 100 kHz in high-bandwidth Mono 8/10/12 operation. Gigabit Ethernet is the primary data path and remains compatible with Fast Ethernet, allowing the camera to sit in conventional networked acquisition systems.

The 100 kHz ceiling supports inspection where a moving web or stream of parts must be sampled frequently along the direction of travel, while the 2048-pixel line covers applications that do not need the wider sampling count of the 4096- or 8192-pixel models. Four configurable I/O lines, with single-ended or differential signaling, provide the timing connection for an encoder, trigger source, or synchronized machine action. Exposure can be set from 5 µs to 10 ms.

MV-CL022-91GC is the direct color-side choice in the same 14 µm pixel class, but its 2048 × 2 array is limited to 40 kHz. MV-CL024-91GM keeps mono output and a 2048-pixel line, provides 1-Line and 2-TDI imaging with 7 µm pixels, and reaches 86 kHz rather than 100 kHz. For twice the samples across the line, MV-CL042-91GM provides 4096 × 2 capture at up to 80 kHz over Gigabit Ethernet.

Selection and applications

Fast 2K mono web scanning. Encoder-timed line acquisition. Mono surface profile capture.

Minimum kit: Pair the MV-CL022-91GM camera with an M42*1.0 line-scan lens, a Gigabit Ethernet cable, and a 12 V DC to 24 V DC power supply.

Nearby in the range: MV-CL022-91GC — Prefer it when the 2048-pixel acquisition must retain color.; MV-CL024-91GM — Prefer it for 2-TDI mono operation with 7 µm pixels.; MV-CL042-91GM — Prefer it for a 4096-pixel line over Gigabit Ethernet..

FAQ

Which acquisition rate can MV-CL022-91GM sustain at each bandwidth setting?

The listed maximum is 56 kHz in standard mode with Mono 8 and 100 kHz in high-bandwidth mode with Mono 8/10/12. The selected pixel format and receiver configuration therefore need to match the intended line-rate target.

What optics fit the 2048-pixel sensor in MV-CL022-91GM?

MV-CL022-91GM uses an M42*1.0 lens mount with a 12 mm flange back length. Its mono sensor has 14 × 14 µm pixels across 2048 positions, so the chosen line-scan lens must cover that line and deliver the required sampling over the object width.

How is power and I/O arranged for the MV-CL022-91GM camera?

Provide 12 V DC to 24 V DC and allow for 5 W consumption. The camera exposes 4 configurable input/output lines and accepts single-ended or differential signaling, giving the control system options for external timing and synchronized outputs.

Can MV-CL022-91GM be placed in a non-sealed production area?

The enclosure rating is IP40. Working limits are -20 °C to 55 °C and 5% RH to 90% RH, while storage is rated from -30 °C to 80 °C. Protection from liquid entry and heavier contamination must therefore come from the installation.

How does MV-CL022-91GM differ from the 2-TDI MV-CL024-91GM?

MV-CL022-91GM uses one 2048-pixel row with 14 µm pixels and reaches 100 kHz in high-bandwidth mode. MV-CL024-91GM uses a 2048 × 2 array with 7 µm pixels, supports 1-line and 2-TDI imaging, and reaches 86 kHz.
