Resolution, motion and range position

Fine sampling at moderate acquisition speed defines MV-ID3060RM: a 3200 × 1920 monochrome image from a 1/2.4-inch CMOS sensor with 2 µm pixels. The rolling shutter runs at up to 20 fps, exposure spans 540 µs to 200 ms, and decoding reaches 36 codes/sec. Results and commands travel over 100 Mbit/s Fast Ethernet or the available RS-232 channel.

The pixel density is suited to stationary or predictably triggered labels where small code elements occupy a broad scene. Mechanical focus on the M12 mount and the standard red point light keep the optical assembly integrated; white, blue, IR and UV sources are optional. The straight- and right-angle housings allow the optical axis to follow available machine space, with a red LED used for aiming.

MV-ID3040RM shares the rolling shutter, 2 µm pixels and 36 codes/sec ceiling, but records 2688 × 1536 and offers a C-mount configuration at 58 fps. MV-ID5200M extends rolling-shutter resolution to 5440 × 3648 at the same 20 fps, using Gigabit Ethernet. MV-ID3060RM is the Fast Ethernet choice when 3200 × 1920 is sufficient and an M12 mechanical-focus arrangement is wanted.

Selection and applications

Fine-pitch stationary code reading. Right-angle machine installation. Fast Ethernet GS1 decoding.

Minimum kit: Pair MV-ID3060RM with an M12-mount lens, a Fast Ethernet cable, a 12-pin M12 power and I/O lead, and a 12 VDC to 24 VDC supply.

Nearby in the range: MV-ID3040RM — Prefer its C-mount version for 58 fps at 2688 × 1536.; MV-ID5200M — Prefer it for 5440 × 3648 rolling-shutter images over Gigabit Ethernet..

FAQ

What type of motion is appropriate for the MV-ID3060RM shutter?

MV-ID3060RM uses a rolling shutter at up to 20 fps. For moving codes, synchronize one of the opto-isolated inputs and keep exposure within the 540 µs to 200 ms range according to line speed; controlled motion reduces rolling-shutter skew.

How are focus and illumination arranged on MV-ID3060RM?

The reader has an M12 mount with mechanical focus and a red point light source by default. White, blue, IR and UV point sources are optional. Transparent plus polarized front protection is listed, with transparent and polarized caps also available.

Which 1D, 2D and stacked code families can MV-ID3060RM decode?

The list includes 1D formats such as Code 128 with GS1-128, 2D formats including QR Code with GS1-QR and Data Matrix with GS1-DM, plus MicroQR, AZTEC, HanXin, PDF 417 and MicroPDF417. Maximum reading speed is 36 codes/sec.

What cabling and power are needed for MV-ID3060RM?

Use Fast Ethernet for the 100 Mbit/s data link and the 12-pin M12 connector for power and I/O. The supply range is 12 VDC to 24 VDC. Average consumption is 5 W at 24 VDC with lighting enabled, and maximum consumption is 19 W.

Can MV-ID3060RM be fitted where the cable must turn away?

Straight-angle dimensions are 80.1 mm × 43 mm × 43.5 mm, while the right-angle form is 58.5 mm × 43 mm × 64.6 mm. Both use a metal shell and retain IP67 protection when the waterproof lens cap is installed correctly.
