Its frame preserves substantially more positions than the 3200 × 1920 MV-SC5060XM while using the same pitch. Select MV-SC5100XM when the additional horizontal and vertical sample positions are needed for the image-space feature layout.
A field containing many inspection regions can be distributed across the 4096 × 2816 image, including repeated assembly features, long printed areas or closely spaced edges. Lens magnification should map the required object field onto the full sensor grid, and optical resolution should be considered against the 2 µm pitch. These constraints turn the pixel count into usable feature separation at the workpiece.
MV-SC5060XM steps down to 3200 × 1920 at the same 2 µm pitch when its smaller grid covers the task. MV-SC5120XM uses 4096 × 2944 with 3.45 µm pixels, mono output, global shutter and up to 30 fps, providing a higher vertical count. MV-SC5100XC shares 4096 × 2816 and 2 µm, leaving resolution and pitch equal between MV-SC5100XM and MV-SC5100XC.
