CXP-12 bandwidth and fit

Two HD-BNC inputs operating through CXP-12 give MV-GY1002 V2.0 a high-rate dual-camera acquisition profile. Each connection supports 1.25, 2.5, 3.125, 5, 6.25, 10 and 12.5 Gbit/s. The board combines 4 GB DDR4-RAM with PCI-E gen3 × 8 transfer of 7800 MB/s maximum and 6700 MB/s sustained, accepting Mono through 16 bits, Bayer through 12 bits and RGB 8.

The two-link format fits paired high-data-rate views that must enter one host with a common control path. Eleven configurable lines support single-ended or differential operation, and both bracket and PCB groups span 3.3 V to 24 V input/output. PoCXP can furnish up to 13 W at 24 V DC on each HD-BNC channel, allowing an eligible camera to receive power over its acquisition cable.

MV-GY1002 V2.0 shares the 6700 MB/s host path and CXP-12 speed range with MV-GY1004 V2.0, but uses two interfaces rather than four and consumes 15.7 W typical instead of 16.8 W without PoCXP. MV-GX1102 is the two-port CXP-6 choice: it stops at 6.25 Gbit/s and 3350 MB/s sustained bandwidth but uses PCI-E gen3 × 4. Select the GY board when the camera link requires CXP-12 or HD-BNC.
