Liquid-lens high-rate reading

A 1920 × 1280 mono global-shutter sensor, 80 codes/sec rating and liquid-lens configuration make MV-ID2023XM the highest-rate industrial reader in this group. The 1/3.52-inch CMOS device uses 2.2 µm pixels, reaches 60 fps and supports exposure from 36 µs to 100 ms. Interface variants use Fast Ethernet at 100 Mbit/s or USB 2.0 with external DC power.

The liquid lens supports electronically adjusted focus for lines where code distance changes, while straight-angle and right-angle bodies allow different cable and sightline layouts. Red illumination is standard, with white, blue, IR, UV and red/blue options; half-polarized, transparent and fully polarized caps address different reflections. Two isolated inputs and two isolated outputs provide trigger and result exchange.

MV-ID2023XM advances beyond MV-ID2016M from 1408 × 1024 and 68 codes/sec to 1920 × 1280 and 80 codes/sec, while both reach 60 fps. MV-ID2013M is the 1280 × 1024, 45-codes/sec alternative. MV-ID2013XM combines 1280 × 1024 resolution, 2.7 µm pixels and four red LEDs. Select MV-ID2023XM when wider sampling, higher decode rate or liquid-lens focusing is required.

FAQ

What imaging speed and resolution does MV-ID2023XM provide?

The mono CMOS global-shutter sensor outputs 1920 × 1280 with 2.2 µm × 2.2 µm pixels. It reaches 60 fps and is rated for 80 codes/sec, with an exposure range from 36 µs to 100 ms.

What does the liquid-lens configuration change in MV-ID2023XM?

The Ethernet and USB interface entries both identify a liquid-lens version. This allows electronic focus adjustment within that configuration, avoiding a fixed mechanical focus when object distance changes between reading cycles.

Which lighting and lens-cap options are listed for MV-ID2023XM?

Red light is standard; white, blue, IR, UV and two-color red/blue lighting are optional. A half-polarized cap is standard, while transparent and fully polarized caps are listed as alternatives for the optical path.

How do Ethernet and USB versions of MV-ID2023XM connect?

One version uses Fast Ethernet at 100 Mbit/s with SmartSDK, TCP, FTP and listed industrial protocols. The other uses USB 2.0 with CDC and HID. Both use 24 V DC, and the USB entry explicitly notes DC power.

What housing, I/O and environmental ratings does MV-ID2023XM have?

Straight and right-angle housings are listed, both with a 17-pin M12 connection carrying two isolated inputs, two isolated outputs and RS-232. The reader is IP65, weighs about 118 g and operates from 0 °C to 50 °C.
