Data cables for ID code readers (MV-IDA-PE)

ID data cables

Hybrid cables for Hikrobot fixed-mount ID code readers. Depending on the reader interface, the reader end uses an M12 A-code 17-pin connector or a DB15 connector; the other end provides RJ45, DB9, USB and/or terminal connections plus open power/IO leads. Breakout configurations vary; cross-check the table against your wiring diagram.

FAQ

When is an M12 cable chosen instead of a DB15 assembly?

Use the connector fitted to the fixed reader. The two main branches are M12 A-coded 17-pin and DB15 male, with DB15 identified for early series. Their breakout families differ, so the device-end connector is the first filter.

How do Standard, High-flex and Super-flex groups differ?

The M12 branch contains Standard, High-flex and Super-flex classes. DB15 cables are listed in Standard and High-flex classes. Choose the flex class for the cable route, then compare only the connector and length options present in that class.

Which host-side breakouts occur on the M12 cables?

M12 assemblies combine TB3B8P or an 8-pin terminal with USB 2.0, RJ45 male or female, and DB9 female in different layouts. One 2 m version ends in USB 2.0 plus DC, and upward-facing variants are also listed.

What breakout choices are available for early-series DB15 readers?

The DB15 group includes USB-only cables and hybrid assemblies with DB9 female, RJ45, TB3B6P or open leads. RJ45 male and female forms appear in the Standard group, and High-flex hybrid entries are available at several lengths.

Why should cable length be checked after the connector layout?

Lengths extend from 2 m to 15 m, but not every length appears with every reader connector, breakout or flex class. First fix M12 or DB15 and the terminal, USB, RJ45, DB9 and open-lead requirements, then select an offered length.
