Faster fixed reading and variants
A 1408 × 1024 mono global-shutter frame gives MV-ID2016M both wider sampling and higher reading rate within the ID2000M group. Its 1/2.9-inch CMOS sensor uses 3.45 µm pixels and runs at up to 60 fps. The 6.72 mm version reaches 68 codes/sec, while the 16 mm version is rated at 45 codes/sec; exposure starts at 16 µs.
The 68-code rate and short minimum exposure fit dense conveyor traffic where moving labels must be frozen and decoded in a fixed view. Fast Ethernet versions integrate with TCP, FTP and listed industrial protocols through 17-pin M12 I/O and RS-232; the 6.72 mm USB 3.0 option provides a direct host path. The 16 mm code set includes GS1 formats, MicroQR, AZTEC, HanXin, PDF417 and Pharmacode.
MV-ID2016M is the faster ID2000M choice: MV-ID2013M provides 1280 × 1024 at 45 codes/sec, while MV-ID2004M provides 704 × 540 and tops out at 45 codes/sec. MV-ID2023XM moves above it with 1920 × 1280, 80 codes/sec and a liquid-lens configuration. Select MV-ID2016M when 1408-pixel width and 68 codes/sec are sufficient without moving to the higher-resolution XM model.

FAQ
What speed difference exists between MV-ID2016M optical versions?
The 6.72 mm MV-ID2016M is rated at 68 codes/sec, while the 16 mm version is rated at 45 codes/sec. Both use the same 1408 × 1024 global-shutter format and reach 60 fps.
Which sensor and exposure values define MV-ID2016M?
The reader uses a 1/2.9-inch mono CMOS global-shutter sensor with 3.45 µm × 3.45 µm pixels. Resolution is 1408 × 1024, maximum frame rate is 60 fps, and exposure spans 16 µs to 1 sec.
Can MV-ID2016M use either Fast Ethernet or USB 3.0?
Yes, for the 6.72 mm configuration. The network version uses Fast Ethernet at 100 Mbit/s with 12 V DC to 24 V DC, while the USB 3.0 version takes 5 V DC power through USB.
What trigger and discrete I/O are available on MV-ID2016M?
The network 17-pin M12 path provides one input, one output, two bidirectional I/O lines and one RS-232 channel. A side button can also trigger the reader; the USB version uses the connector for data transmission.
How should the two MV-ID2016M housings be accommodated?
The 6.72 mm body is 46 mm × 38 mm × 25 mm and weighs about 160 g. The 16 mm body is 46 mm × 25 mm × 57.6 mm and about 215 g. Both are IP65 and operate from 0 °C to 50 °C.
