Applications and neighbouring readers
A 2048 × 1536 global-shutter frame gives MV-ID3030XM more code sampling than the entry XM reader without lowering its 60 fps acquisition rate. The monochrome 1/1.45-inch CMOS sensor uses 3.45 µm pixels, exposure from 6 µs to 30000 µs and gain from 0 dB to 24 dB. Decoding is rated at 90 codes/sec, with a 100 Mbit/s Fast Ethernet data path.
The 6 µs lower exposure limit and global shutter support triggered capture of moving packages when illumination is sufficient. Three opto-isolated inputs can receive line events, three isolated outputs can return decisions, and the top button provides local triggering. Red point and white diffused sources, together with the supplied transparent, polarized and diffused caps, address alignment and reflection control at the reader face.
MV-ID3016XM trades image detail for rate: 1408 × 1200 at 110 codes/sec. MV-ID3050XM uses the same 1/1.45-inch sensor format, 3.45 µm pixels and 90 codes/sec limit as MV-ID3030XM, but increases the frame to 2432 × 2048. Select MV-ID3030XM when 2048 × 1536 resolves the mark; choose MV-ID3016XM for greater decode throughput or MV-ID3050XM for a larger sampled field.

Selection and applications
Moving GS1 code inspection. Reflective-label decoding. Fast Ethernet controller handoff.
Minimum kit: Use MV-ID3030XM with its liquid-lens or mechanical optics, a Fast Ethernet cable, a 12-pin M12 power and I/O lead, and a 24 VDC source.
Nearby in the range: MV-ID3016XM — Prefer it when 110 codes/sec matters more than resolution above 1408 × 1200.; MV-ID3050XM — Prefer it for 2432 × 2048 capture with the same 90 codes/sec limit..

FAQ
What is the acquisition profile of the MV-ID3030XM sensor?
The monochrome CMOS imager records 2048 × 1536 with 3.45 µm pixels. It uses a global shutter, reaches 60 fps and allows exposure from 6 µs to 30000 µs, a combination intended for precisely triggered images of moving codes.
Which GS1 and stacked formats can MV-ID3030XM read?
The reader includes Code 128 with GS1-128, QR Code with GS1-QR and Data Matrix with GS1-DM. It also lists MicroQR, AZTEC, HanXin, Maxi Code, PDF 417 and MicroPDF417, with overall decoding rated up to 90 codes/sec.
How much power should be allowed for an MV-ID3030XM station?
MV-ID3030XM takes 24 VDC through its 12-pin M12 connection. Average consumption with the light source enabled is 6.2 W, and the maximum is 16.8 W. The same connector carries three isolated inputs, three isolated outputs and RS-232.
What are the optical and aiming provisions on MV-ID3030XM?
An orange LED provides aiming. The head combines red point light with white diffused light, and white, blue, IR or UV point light is optional. Transparent, polarized and diffused lens caps are listed for controlling the light reaching reflective marks.
What changes between liquid-lens and mechanical MV-ID3030XM versions?
The listed operating limit is 0 °C to 45 °C for the liquid-lens version and 0 °C to 50 °C for the mechanical version. The liquid-lens certification entry differs as well; both configurations use the same 2048 × 1536 imaging specification.
