Maximum-rate 5 MP reading
High-rate global-shutter reading at 2432 × 2048 is the purpose of MV-ID5050XM. The monochrome 1/1.45-inch CMOS sensor has 3.45 µm pixels and reaches 92 fps, while decoding is rated for 120 codes/sec. Its 38 µs to 3 ms exposure range is focused on short captures, and Gigabit Ethernet at 1000 Mbit/s carries the resulting traffic.
This profile fits rapidly spaced codes and moving labels that require both detailed sampling and frequent acquisition. A touchscreen can trigger the device during setup, while three opto-isolated inputs handle machine events in service. Half-polarization is standard at the front, with transparent and full-polarization caps optional. Straight- and right-angle housings support two cable and sight-line arrangements.
MV-ID3050XM provides the same 2432 × 2048 pixel geometry but runs at 60 fps and 90 codes/sec over 100 Mbit/s Fast Ethernet. MV-ID5030M offers 2048 × 1536 at 60 fps and 90 codes/sec over Gigabit Ethernet. MV-ID5050XM is the rate-led selection: use it when 92 fps or 120 codes/sec is required and the 3 ms maximum exposure suits the illumination.

FAQ
What throughput limits distinguish the MV-ID5050XM reader?
Image acquisition reaches 92 fps and maximum reading speed is 120 codes/sec. The reader maintains 2432 × 2048 global-shutter capture at those limits and connects through Gigabit Ethernet at 1000 Mbit/s.
How does the MV-ID5050XM exposure range suit moving marks?
Exposure is limited to 38 µs through 3 ms, paired with a global shutter. This favors short, well-lit captures of moving marks rather than long low-light integrations; gain is adjustable from 0 dB to 37 dB.
Can MV-ID5050XM be triggered without the line controller?
Yes. Pressing the touchscreen can trigger the reader during setup. In production, the 12-pin M12 connector supplies three opto-isolated inputs for machine events, three isolated outputs for results and an RS-232 input/output pair.
What power allowance should be made for MV-ID5050XM?
The unit operates from 24 VDC. With the light source enabled, average consumption is 11 W and maximum consumption is 36 W. Size the reader supply and 12-pin M12 wiring to the maximum stated load.
Which housing direction and temperature version can be selected?
Straight and right-angle forms are listed. The liquid-lens configuration works from 0 °C to 40 °C, while the mechanical configuration extends to 50 °C. Both use a 405 g body and IP67 protection with the waterproof cap installed correctly.
