High-rate code reading in a shallow frame
A 1408 × 576 mono frame at up to 120 fps gives MV-SC6500P a fast, wide reading format. The 1/3.4-inch CMOS sensor has 3.45 µm pixels, global shutter and exposure from 25 µs to 1 sec. Automatic M12-mount optics and a red LED are integrated, while an RGB bar light is supported. SEMI OCR, data matrix, QR and barcode algorithms target coded and printed identification tasks.
The shallow frame fits character strings and codes moving laterally through a reading station, and global exposure supports consistent geometry during motion. Vision Master Platform with its deep-learning module and SCClient provide the stated software environment. A 6-pin P7 connector supplies one non-isolated input, one non-isolated output and RS-232, while Gigabit Ethernet carries decoded results through industrial protocols.
MV-SC6500 records 1408 × 768 at 60 fps, providing more vertical samples but half the maximum rate. It also uses a 17-pin M12 interface with isolated and configurable I/O, compared with the simpler P7 connection here. MV-SC6016M reaches the same 120 fps at 1408 × 1024 and uses C-mount optics without an included light, fitting inspection that needs a taller mono image and separately selected lens.

FAQ
How does the shallow image format serve a code-reading station?
The sensor records 1408 × 576 mono frames at up to 120 fps. This wide, shallow grid can follow a line of characters or codes through a station, while the global shutter and 25 µs minimum exposure support motion capture.
Which codes and character classes can the device process?
Its stated algorithm set includes SEMI OCR characters, data matrix codes, QR codes and barcodes. Vision Master Platform with the deep-learning module and SCClient are listed for setup and processing, with 64 GB of device storage.
What lighting choices accompany the automatic M12 optics?
The camera has automatic M12-mount optics and a red LED light source. RGB operation is supported by a bar light. These elements work with the 1/3.4-inch mono sensor and its 3.45 µm pixel pitch.
How does the P7 I/O differ from the MV-SC6500 connection?
MV-SC6500P uses a 6-pin P7 connector with one non-isolated input, one non-isolated output and one RS-232 channel. MV-SC6500 instead lists a 17-pin M12 connector with two isolated inputs, two isolated outputs and two configurable lines.
What are the power, network and ambient requirements?
The device takes 24 VDC, with 11.5 W typical and 18 W maximum draw. Network traffic uses 1000 Mbit/s Gigabit Ethernet. The enclosure is IP40, and operation is stated from 0 °C to 40 °C at 20% RH to 95% RH without condensation.
