Mono speed and machine integration

Mono capture at 1408 × 1024 and up to 120 fps defines MV-SC6016M. The 1/2.53-inch CMOS sensor uses 3.45 µm pixels, a global shutter and exposure from 16 µs to 1 sec. C-mount optics allow the field of view to be selected for the station, while VM Platform supplies deep-learning OCR, object recognition and defect detection inside the camera.

The model fits fast contour, presence, alignment and printed-code checks where intensity information is sufficient. A short exposure can arrest part motion, and the 120 fps ceiling provides frequent acquisition opportunities. Its 17-pin M12 connector combines power with two isolated inputs, two isolated outputs, two configurable non-isolated lines, RS-232 and a light-source output up to 30 W, simplifying timing between sensor, illumination and reject logic.

MV-SC6016C is the colour partner at the same 120 fps rate, with 1408 × 1024 in its C-mount form. MV-SC6050M raises mono resolution to 2432 × 2048 and lowers maximum acquisition to 80 fps. MV-SC6120M extends the mono frame further to 4096 × 2944 at 40 fps, so MV-SC6016M is selected when the shortest cycle has priority over spatial sampling.

Selection and applications

Fast mono presence and alignment checks. Global-shutter code capture at 120 fps. Triggered inspection with light-source control.

Minimum kit: Combine MV-SC6016M with a C-mount lens for its 1/2.53-inch sensor, external illumination, a Gigabit Ethernet cable, a 17-pin M12 power and I/O cable, and a 24 VDC supply.

Nearby in the range: MV-SC6016C — Prefer it when inspection at up to 120 fps must include colour information.; MV-SC6050M — Prefer it for 2432 × 2048 mono frames at up to 80 fps.; MV-SC6120M — Prefer it for 4096 × 2944 mono detail when 40 fps is sufficient..

FAQ

What makes this mono model suitable for rapidly moving parts?

Its CMOS global shutter exposes the 1408 × 1024 frame together, the shortest listed exposure is 16 µs, and acquisition reaches 120 fps. These timing characteristics support triggered intensity, edge and shape analysis on a fast machine cycle.

What lens and lighting components are required at startup?

MV-SC6016M has a C-mount and does not include a light source. The lens should cover its 1/2.53-inch sensor and 1408 × 1024 frame. External illumination can use the camera's light-source output, which is rated to a maximum of 30 W.

How are triggers and reject decisions wired to the camera?

The 17-pin M12 interface provides two opto-isolated inputs and two opto-isolated outputs, plus two configurable non-isolated input/output lines. It also carries RS-232 and the light output, while the same connection provides 24 VDC power.

Which communications can deliver the processed result?

A 1000 Mbit/s Gigabit Ethernet interface supports PROFINET, EtherNet/IP, Modbus, TCP, UDP, Fins, MC and FTP. OCR, recognition and defect detection can execute in VM Platform before a compact decision is exchanged with line control.

How does the installation change when external lighting is used?

Power draw is approximately 12 W at 24 VDC without external illumination and approximately 42 W with it. The enclosure is listed as IP67 when the waterproof lens cap is installed correctly, and the working range is 0 °C to 50 °C.
