Camera connectivity and machine control

Six GigE ports, extensive isolated I/O and one PCIe 3.0 ×16 slot make MV-VC3000H a vision controller for multi-camera machine integration. Its processor configurations include Celeron G4900 and Core i3-8100. The Core i3-8100 form assigns four of the six GigE interfaces to PoE. Unactivated 64-bit Windows 10 provides the application environment, with HDMI and VGA outputs available simultaneously.

The port layout supports inspection cells that acquire several GigE cameras and coordinate triggers or reject devices through eight opto-isolated inputs and sixteen opto-isolated outputs. Four constant-voltage 24 VDC light interfaces can integrate illumination, with 72 W per channel and 80 W total stated. The PCIe 3.0 ×16 slot provides a route for an application-specific expansion card, and selected 3502, 3503 and 3504 models include a 2 TB HDD.

MV-VC3000X retains six GigE ports and a 24 VDC supply on 12th-generation processor configurations. MV-VC531x increases the network count to seven GigE ports, four with PoE, and specifies twelve isolated outputs plus eight isolated low-side driver outputs and four bidirectional differential I/O lines. MV-VC532x uses the seven-port layout and specifies one ×16, one ×8 and two ×4 PCIe interfaces.

Overview

A vision controller on 8th generation Intel processors — from the Celeron G4900 to the Core i7-8700. Six Gigabit ports take cameras directly without a switch, while 8 inputs and 16 opto-isolated outputs tie the station to the sensors and actuators of the line.

Within the series the choice comes down to the fourth digit of the part number: 1 — SSD only, 2 — SSD plus a hard disk for the image archive, 3 — the same plus PoE on four ports, 4 — 16 GB of RAM. The PoE version removes the need for separate camera power supplies but draws noticeably more power.
