High-resolution networked imaging

A 12.2 MP mono image over Gigabit Ethernet defines MV-CB120-10GM-C. Its 1/1.7-inch Sony® IMX226 CMOS sensor produces 4024 × 3036 Mono 8 from 1.85 µm pixels at up to 9.7 fps. The sensor uses a rolling shutter, while C-mount optics attach to a 29 mm × 29 mm × 30.2 mm camera body.

The camera fits detailed inspection of stationary parts, dimensional feature extraction and remote machine observation where spatial sampling matters more than high frame rate. Exposure spans 34 µs to 2 sec, and gain covers 0 dB to 20 dB. The Ethernet port supports 1000 Mbit/s and 100 Mbit/s operation. Power may share the link through PoE or enter at 9 VDC to 24 VDC on the 6-pin connector, which also carries three non-isolated I/O lines.

MV-CB120-10UM-B V4.0 raises the mono full-frame rate to 30 fps at 4032 × 3036 over USB 3.0, in a 1.6 mm board format. MV-CB120-10UC-S V4.0 uses the same USB resolution and 30 fps speed but adds color and an M12-mount. MV-CB060-10UM-C V4.0 keeps C-mount mono imaging and reaches 60.9 fps at a lower 3072 × 2048 resolution. Choose 10GM-C when Gigabit Ethernet, PoE, C-mount and high-resolution mono imaging form the required combination.

FAQ

What lens must cover the MV-CB120-10GM-C imaging area?

The camera provides C-mount and uses a 1/1.7-inch Sony® IMX226 sensor. A selected C-mount lens must cover that format and support the required field of view for the 4024 × 3036 image with 1.85 µm pixels.

What image rate is available over MV-CB120-10GM-C Ethernet?

The maximum is 9.7 fps at 4024 × 3036 Mono 8. The interface operates at 1000 Mbit/s and is compatible with 100 Mbit/s Ethernet. The sensor's specified dynamic range is 70.5 dB.

Can MV-CB120-10GM-C combine network data and power?

Yes. PoE is supported on the Gigabit Ethernet connection. A 9 VDC to 24 VDC supply may instead use the 6-pin connector. Typical camera consumption is 1.9 W at 12 VDC.

Which I/O signals are present on MV-CB120-10GM-C for timing?

The 6-pin connector includes one non-isolated input on Line 0, one non-isolated output on Line 1 and one bidirectional non-isolated I/O on Line 2. It can also carry the 9 VDC to 24 VDC power input.

Why choose the USB mono B model instead of MV-CB120-10GM-C?

MV-CB120-10UM-B V4.0 provides 4032 × 3036 at 30 fps over USB 3.0 on a 1.6 mm board. MV-CB120-10GM-C provides 4024 × 3036 at 9.7 fps through Gigabit Ethernet, with PoE and C-mount.
