Monochrome Camera Link selection
Detailed monochrome imaging through Camera Link is the role of MV-CH120-10CM. A 1.1-inch Sony IMX253 global-shutter sensor with 3.45 µm pixels produces 4096 × 3000 Mono 8 at 50.9 fps in Base, Medium and Full configurations. The image size and rate support edge, dimension and surface analysis where a Camera Link SDR path is already part of the machine.
Global exposure preserves geometry on moving parts, and the 1 µs to 10 sec exposure range spans rapid capture and long integration. The alternate 80-bit mode records 3840 × 3000 Mono 8 at 69.8 fps. A 6-pin P7 connector provides an isolated input, isolated output and bidirectional non-isolated I/O line for trigger and illumination timing.
MV-CH120-10CC records color on the same IMX253 and Camera Link interface, at 51.4 fps for 4096 × 3000. MV-CH120-10UM provides IMX304 monochrome output at 23.1 fps over USB 3.0. MV-CH120-11UM uses the same 4096 × 3000 IMX304 class but reaches 30.3 fps through USB 3.0. Choose MV-CH120-10CM for monochrome detail and the faster Camera Link modes.

FAQ
What full-width monochrome rate does Camera Link provide?
Base, Medium and Full configurations deliver 4096 × 3000 Mono 8 at up to 50.9 fps. The camera uses an SDR Camera Link interface, and a separate 80-bit format is also available.
How does the 80-bit mode change image size and speed?
In 80-bit mode, the camera outputs 3840 × 3000 Mono 8 at up to 69.8 fps. Compared with the 4096-pixel Base, Medium and Full image, this mode reduces width and increases the listed frame rate.
What lens specification follows from the IMX253 format?
Use a C-mount lens covering the 1.1-inch sensor and resolving the 3.45 µm pixel pitch across 4096 × 3000. Optical magnification should suit the target dimensions and smallest measured feature.
Which electrical supply is required for MV-CH120-10CM?
The camera accepts 9 V DC to 24 V DC and typically consumes 4.51 W at 12 V DC. Its 6-pin P7 connector also exposes isolated input and output plus a bidirectional line for machine timing.
What temperature and humidity limits apply during operation?
The operating interval is 0 °C to 50 °C, with 20% RH to 80% RH and no condensation. IP30 applies after proper lens installation and wiring, setting the body protection level.
