High-throughput SWIR positioning
A 5.3 MP Sony® IMX992 InGaAs sensor and CoaXPress interface set MV-CI050-Y1S-NN apart from the GigE SWIR models. The global-shutter array records 2592 × 2056 Mono 8 frames with 3.45 × 3.45 µm pixels at up to 120 fps. Spectral response spans 0.4 µm to 1.7 µm, while the Micro-BNC CoaXPress link carries the full-resolution high-rate stream.
Global exposure, 120 fps capture, and the 8 µs to 14 µs UltraShort range support detailed spectral inspection of moving targets. SuperShort exposure spans 15 µs to 22 µs and Standard mode extends from 23 µs to 100 ms. Dynamic range is 50.6 dB and gain covers 0 dB to 18 dB. The 6-pin P7 connection provides one opto-isolated input, one opto-isolated output, and one bidirectional non-isolated I/O for synchronized acquisition.
This uncooled C-mount body measures 29 × 29 × 42 mm, weighs approximately 90 g, and typically draws 4.2 W at 12 VDC. It accepts 9 VDC to 24 VDC and supports PoCXP. The MV-CI013-GS-NN, TF, and TH alternatives provide 1.3 MP at 91 fps over Gigabit Ethernet with 56 dB dynamic range; choose this model when 2592 × 2056 detail, 120 fps, and the CoaXPress data path outweigh their GigE connectivity.

FAQ
What resolution and frame rate does MV-CI050-Y1S-NN sustain?
The camera records 2592 × 2056 Mono 8 images at up to 120 fps. Its Sony® IMX992 InGaAs sensor is rated 5.3 MP with 3.45 × 3.45 µm pixels. CoaXPress through a Micro-BNC interface provides the image-transfer path for that combination.
How is power delivered to the CoaXPress SWIR camera?
The supply range is 9 VDC to 24 VDC, and PoCXP is supported so power can be provided through the CoaXPress arrangement. Typical consumption is 4.2 W at 12 VDC. The selected Micro-BNC link and host hardware should support the intended power method.
What should be verified when choosing a lens for the IMX992 sensor?
Use a C-mount lens covering the 1/1.4-inch sensor and resolving its 3.45 × 3.45 µm pixels. Transmission must cover the portion of the 0.4 µm to 1.7 µm band used by the application. Confirm image-circle coverage and contrast at the selected wavelengths.
Which shutter and exposure modes are available for moving targets?
The InGaAs sensor uses a global shutter. UltraShort exposure ranges from 8 µs to 14 µs, SuperShort from 15 µs to 22 µs, and Standard from 23 µs to 100 ms. Together with the 120 fps maximum, these modes support setting capture around target motion and signal level.
How does this model differ from the 1.3 MP GigE SWIR variants?
MV-CI050-Y1S-NN provides 2592 × 2056 at 120 fps through CoaXPress, versus 1280 × 1024 at 91 fps through Gigabit Ethernet for the CI013 variants. Its dynamic range is 50.6 dB rather than their 56 dB, and its pixel pitch is 3.45 µm rather than 5 µm.
What enclosure and temperature limits apply to this uncooled model?
The uncooled housing is 29 × 29 × 42 mm and approximately 90 g. Operation is rated from –10 °C to 40 °C, storage from –30 °C to 80 °C, and humidity from 20% RH to 95% RH without condensation. IP40 applies with proper lens installation and wiring.
