What must be established before selecting the cable length?

Establish whether the link is CXP-6 or CXP-12, determine the lane count from the camera and frame grabber, and identify both connector sockets. Only then choose length, ST or HF construction, and straight or upward-facing geometry. Several lengths occur with multiple endpoint combinations.

How do connector options differ between CXP-6 and CXP-12?

The listed CXP-12 cables are HD-BNC to HD-BNC. CXP-6 cables use DIN at the first end and offer BNC, DIN, or HD-BNC at the other. Upward-facing geometry is available on selected DIN ends and on selected HD-BNC ends, as shown in the full part designation.

Which lengths are covered by Standard MV-ACXP assemblies?

The ST group contains 3 m, 5 m, and 10 m runs for CXP-12 HD-BNC-to-HD-BNC and for CXP-6 DIN-to-BNC or DIN-to-DIN. It also includes MV-ACXP6-DIN(up)-DIN-ST-8m, an 8 m CXP-6 cable with an upward-facing DIN connector.

What additional routing choices appear in the High-flex group?

HF adds DIN-to-HD-BNC cables, selected upward-facing DIN or HD-BNC ends, and a wider set of lengths. The group starts with a 1.5 m upward-facing DIN-to-DIN cable and extends to a 15 m upward-facing CXP-12 HD-BNC-to-HD-BNC assembly.

Can two cables of equal length have different functions?

Yes. At 5 m, the HF group includes CXP-12 HD-BNC-to-HD-BNC plus CXP-6 DIN-to-BNC, DIN-to-DIN, and DIN-to-HD-BNC choices, including selected upward-facing versions. Equal length therefore does not resolve interface class, endpoints, or connector orientation.
