Networked 8K color inspection in a shorter body

An 8192 × 3 color CMOS sensor and 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet interface position MV-CL084-B1NC as the network-connected long-line color option. Its 7 × 7 µm pixels operate in 1-Line mode. At full resolution, Mono 8/Bayer RG 8 reaches 37.6 kHz, RGB 8/BGR 8 reaches 12.5 kHz, and Mono or Bayer RG 10/12 reaches 18.8 kHz.

For a narrow inspection zone, reducing the region of interest to 2448 pixels or below raises Mono 8/Bayer RG 8 to a 42 kHz peak. This supports wide color web or print inspection at full line length and faster monitoring of a smaller band with the same camera. The 12-pin P10 connector provides four bidirectional configurable I/O lines with single-ended or differential signaling for transport timing.

MV-CL083-91F2C also uses an 8192 × 3 color array with 7 µm pixels but transfers through a 2LC fiber connector at 66.6 kHz. MV-CL083-92CC changes to Camera Link and reaches 33.7 kHz at full width in 80-bit mode. For a shorter networked line, MV-CL044-91NC provides 4096 × 3 over 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet, reaches 75.3 kHz at full width and supports PoE.

Selection and applications

8K color inspection over 2.5 GigE. Wide Bayer web scanning. Reduced-width color monitoring.

Minimum kit: Use the MV-CL084-B1NC camera, an M72*0.75 line-scan lens or adapted F-mount/C-mount optic, a 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet cable, and a 12 V DC to 24 V DC supply through the 12-pin P10 connector.

Nearby in the range: MV-CL083-91F2C — Prefer it for 66.6 kHz full-width color transfer through 2LC fiber.; MV-CL083-92CC — Prefer it for 8192 × 3 color acquisition with a Camera Link receiver.; MV-CL044-91NC — Prefer it for a shorter 4096 × 3 networked line with PoE..

FAQ

Which full-resolution formats are fastest on MV-CL084-B1NC?

Mono 8 and Bayer RG 8 reach 37.6 kHz at the full 8192-pixel width. Mono 10/12 and Bayer RG 10/12 reach 18.8 kHz, while RGB 8 and BGR 8 reach 12.5 kHz, making output format a direct throughput choice.

When can MV-CL084-B1NC reach its 42 kHz peak rate?

The 42 kHz peak applies to Mono 8 or Bayer RG 8 after the region of interest is reduced to 2448 pixels or below. At full 8192-pixel width, those same formats have a listed ceiling of 37.6 kHz.

What lens mount covers the MV-CL084-B1NC 8K sensor?

The camera uses an M72*0.75 interface at a 12 mm flange focal length. F-mount, C-mount and other lens types can be fitted through an adapter ring, with coverage selected for the 8192 × 3 sensor and 7 µm pixels.

How are MV-CL084-B1NC power, data and I/O separated?

Image data uses 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet, compatible with 1000 Mbit/s and 100 Mbit/s links. The 12-pin P10 connector carries 12 V DC to 24 V DC power and four configurable I/O lines. Typical consumption is 8.6 W at 24 V DC.

What installation environment suits the MV-CL084-B1NC body?

The 76 mm × 76 mm × 41.9 mm housing works from -20 °C to 55 °C at 20% RH to 80% RH without condensation. Storage spans -30 °C to 80 °C, and IP40 applies with proper lens installation and wiring.

Why use MV-CL083-91F2C instead of the networked MV-CL084-B1NC?

Both have 8192 × 3 color CMOS arrays and 7 µm pixels. MV-CL083-91F2C transfers through 2LC fiber at 66.6 kHz, while MV-CL084-B1NC uses 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet and reaches 37.6 kHz at full-width Mono 8/Bayer RG 8.
