IMX249 GigE capture at 1920 × 1200

Sony® IMX249 global-shutter imaging at 1920 × 1200 places MV-CS023-10GM at the top resolution step of this CS Series group. The 1/1.2-inch CMOS sensor reaches 41 fps through Gigabit Ethernet. A 29 mm × 29 mm × 42 mm C-mount enclosure contains the imaging path, giving the integrator a 2.3 MP network camera for broad scenes and detailed geometry when a 41 fps cycle is sufficient.

Edge position, component presence, assembly outline and multiple regions can be evaluated within the 1920 × 1200 image. The global shutter keeps moving shapes consistent across the frame, while the network interface supports placement in a Gigabit Ethernet station. PoE is specified for power, with a 9–24 V DC alternative and one isolated input, one isolated output and one bidirectional line on the 6-pin P7 connector.

MV-CS023-10GC uses the same IMX249, 1/1.2-inch format, 1920 × 1200, 41 fps and Gigabit Ethernet, and explicitly identifies Bayer RG 8 color. MV-CS023-10UM moves the paired resolution and rate to USB 3.0 in a 30 mm-deep body. MV-CS020-10GM uses the smaller 1/1.7-inch IMX430 and reduces resolution to 1624 × 1240 while increasing the GigE ceiling to 60 fps. Select MV-CS023-10GM for the stated high-resolution IMX249 network configuration.

FAQ

Which resolution and sensor format define MV-CS023-10GM?

The camera uses a Sony® IMX249 1/1.2-inch CMOS sensor at 1920 × 1200. Its global shutter exposes the image together, and the maximum stated acquisition rate is 41 fps over Gigabit Ethernet.

What power arrangements are available on the GigE camera?

PoE is supported over the Gigabit Ethernet connection, and the camera also accepts 9–24 V DC through the 6-pin P7 connector. Typical consumption is 2.2 W at 12 V DC.

Which machine signals are present on the 6-pin connector?

The P7 connection includes one opto-isolated input, one opto-isolated output and one bidirectional non-isolated I/O. These provide physical timing points for linking image acquisition with an external machine event.

What body size and working temperature must be allowed?

The C-mount body measures 29 mm × 29 mm × 42 mm, weighs 100 g and is rated IP40. The specified working-temperature range is –30 °C to 60 °C, with humidity from 20% RH to 95% RH.

When does MV-CS020-10GM trade resolution for speed?

MV-CS020-10GM uses a 1/1.7-inch Sony IMX430 at 1624 × 1240 and 60 fps over Gigabit Ethernet. MV-CS023-10GM instead uses the 1/1.2-inch IMX249 at 1920 × 1200 and 41 fps.
