High-resolution color for controlled motion
A Sony® IMX178 rolling-shutter CMOS sensor raises color resolution to 3072 × 2048 in MV-CS060-10GC-PRO. The 1/1.8-inch device uses 2.4 µm pixels and records 6.3 MP at 19.1 fps over Gigabit Ethernet. Exposure from 25 µs to 2.5 sec, 71.3 dB dynamic range and C-mount optics shape a detailed color camera for controlled acquisition.
Fine print, small-feature presence and stationary component inspection can use the 3072-pixel image width. Because exposure is rolling rather than global, stationary targets, stopped indexing or strobe-controlled exposure are the appropriate capture conditions for geometry-sensitive work. The isolated input can synchronize acquisition, and PoE supports a network run without a separate supply at the camera.
MV-CS060-10GM shares the Sony IMX178, 3072 × 2048 frame, 19.1 fps rate and rolling shutter, and it is documented as the replacement for MV-CA060-11GM. MV-CS050-20GC V2.0 uses a global-shutter OnSemi XGS5000 for 2592 × 2048 color at 22.7 fps. MV-CS050-10GC-PRO also has a global shutter and reaches 24.2 fps, with a smaller 2448 × 2048 Sony® IMX264 image.

FAQ
What detail level does MV-CS060-10GC-PRO obtain from the IMX178?
The Sony® IMX178 records 3072 × 2048 color at up to 19.1 fps. It is a 1/1.8-inch rolling-shutter CMOS sensor with 2.4 µm × 2.4 µm pixels, giving the camera its 6.3 MP classification.
How should motion be managed with MV-CS060-10GC-PRO rolling shutter?
The rolling shutter exposes image rows at different times, so stationary targets, stopped indexing or strobe-controlled exposure suit geometry-sensitive measurements. Exposure is adjustable from 25 µs to 2.5 sec.
What network power arrangements support MV-CS060-10GC-PRO?
The camera supports PoE and also accepts 9 VDC to 24 VDC, with typical consumption of 2.5 W at 12 VDC. Images use Gigabit Ethernet, and Fast Ethernet connection is also supported.
Which control signals are present on MV-CS060-10GC-PRO?
A 6-pin Hirose connector carries one opto-isolated input, one opto-isolated output and one bidirectional non-isolated I/O. These lines can synchronize rolling-shutter acquisition with a stationary machine interval.
When is MV-CS050-20GC V2.0 preferable to MV-CS060-10GC-PRO?
Choose MV-CS050-20GC V2.0 when a global shutter and 22.7 fps are required at 2592 × 2048. Choose the MV-CS060-10GC-PRO operating point for 3072 × 2048 color from Sony® IMX178 at 19.1 fps.
