Where this color USB model fits

Fast color capture in a compact USB station defines the MV-CS060-10UC V5.0. The Sony® IMX178 is a 6.3 MP rolling-shutter CMOS sensor with 3072 × 2048 output, a 1/1.8-inch format and 2.4 µm pixels. It streams Bayer RG 8 data at up to 60.9 fps over USB 3.0. An exposure range of 8 µs to 1 sec and gain from 0 dB to 24 dB allow the acquisition setup to follow different lighting levels and motion conditions.

Color presence checks, label inspection and sorting by visible appearance can use the Bayer output, while the 60.9 fps ceiling supports short-cycle image sequences when exposure is kept brief. USB 3.0 can supply power as well as data, reducing station wiring at the host. The 29 mm × 29 mm × 30 mm housing and C-mount support a small camera head; the power and I/O connector adds isolated input and output lines for machine coordination.

MV-CS060-10UC-PRO has the same listed sensor, color format, 60.9 fps rate and 29 mm × 29 mm × 30 mm dimensions; its certification set additionally includes UL. MV-CS060-10UM V5.0 retains the USB 3.0 rate and resolution but changes the output to mono for intensity-based inspection. For a network connection with PoE, MV-CS060-10GC provides color at the same 3072 × 2048 resolution, with a lower maximum of 19.1 fps.

Selection and applications

Color presence checks at 60.9 fps. Compact USB label inspection at 3072 × 2048. Bayer RG 8 sorting by visible appearance.

Minimum kit: MV-CS060-10UC V5.0 camera, a C-mount lens, a USB 3.0 cable, and either USB 3.0 power or a 9 VDC to 24 VDC supply through the 6-pin P7 connector form the minimum operating set.

Nearby in the range: MV-CS060-10UC-PRO — Prefer it when the otherwise matching color USB configuration also needs UL certification.; MV-CS060-10UM V5.0 — Prefer it for mono output at the same 3072 × 2048 and 60.9 fps operating point.; MV-CS060-10GC — Prefer it when Gigabit Ethernet and PoE are required for 3072 × 2048 color imaging..

FAQ

What image stream is available at the maximum USB frame rate?

The maximum listed stream is 60.9 fps at 3072 × 2048 in Bayer RG 8. It is a color camera built around the Sony® IMX178 rolling-shutter sensor. The host connection is USB 3.0, with USB 2.0 operation also listed, so acquisition settings should reflect the connection in use.

Does the V5.0 color camera require a separate power feed?

USB 3.0 power supply is supported, and typical consumption is 1.5 W at 5 VDC when USB provides power. The camera can alternatively accept 9 VDC to 24 VDC through its 6-pin P7 connector, which also carries the listed input and output lines.

What should be checked when selecting its C-mount optics?

The lens must use C-mount, cover the 1/1.8-inch sensor and provide suitable detail for 2.4 µm pixels over 3072 × 2048. Because the output is Bayer RG 8 at the maximum rate, the optical and lighting setup should preserve the color information needed by the inspection.

How does the rolling shutter affect moving-object inspection?

The sensor is a rolling-shutter Sony® IMX178. For moving subjects, coordinate acquisition with the machine and use an exposure toward the shorter end of the available 8 µs to 1 sec range when illumination permits. The 60.9 fps ceiling describes sequence rate, not simultaneous exposure of every row.

How is the V5.0 version distinguished from MV-CS060-10UC-PRO?

Both color variants list the Sony® IMX178, 3072 × 2048 Bayer RG 8 at 60.9 fps, USB 3.0, C-mount and the same 29 mm × 29 mm × 30 mm dimensions. The stated certification set is CE-EMC and KC for V5.0, while MV-CS060-10UC-PRO also lists UL.
