Powered four-camera acquisition and host transfer

Four PoE-enabled RJ45 interfaces define MV-GT1104P as a camera-power and acquisition board for multi-view GigE Vision V2.0 systems. Each link supports 10 Gbit/s, and 4 GB DDR4 onboard memory buffers the streams. A PCI-E gen3 × 8 connection delivers up to 7000 MB/s to the host and sustains 6750 MB/s during continuous transfer.

This layout supports four-camera inspection around a part, parallel acquisition zones and synchronized capture without separate camera power feeds. Six configurable I/O connections accept single-ended or differential signals and allow multiple frame grabbers to be cascaded. The board operates from 0 to 55 °C, and its own consumption is 28.5 W before the PoE loads of connected cameras are included.

MV-GT1102P halves the powered port count to two, reduces memory to 2 GB and uses PCI-E gen3 × 4, with 21.1 W board consumption. MV-GT1004 has four RJ45 links, uses 2 GB DDR3 and PCI-E gen2 × 8, and sustains 3350 MB/s. Select MV-GT1104P when four powered camera connections and 6750 MB/s sustained host bandwidth must be provided by one card.

Selection and applications

Four-camera powered inspection. Multi-zone synchronized acquisition. High-bandwidth PoE camera capture.

Minimum kit: Seat MV-GT1104P in PCI-E gen3 × 8, attach up to four PoE GigE Vision cameras via RJ45, and size host power for 28.5 W board consumption plus camera loads.

Nearby in the range: MV-GT1102P — Prefer it when two PoE ports, 2 GB DDR4 and a PCI-E gen3 × 4 host path are enough.; MV-GT1004 — Prefer it for four RJ45 links on PCI-E gen2 × 8 at 3350 MB/s sustained..

FAQ

How many powered 10 GigE camera links does the board provide?

MV-GT1104P provides 4 RJ45 ports with PoE, and each port supports a 10 Gbit/s camera connection under GigE Vision V2.0. It can therefore acquire from as many as four cameras while supplying power over their data links.

What sustained data rate is specified on the host side?

The PCI-E gen3 × 8 host interface is rated for 7000 MB/s maximum transmission bandwidth and 6750 MB/s sustained transmission bandwidth. The board includes 4 GB DDR4 memory for buffering.

How are external trigger lines and card cascading supported?

Six configurable I/O connections accept single-ended or differential signals and support cascading. Bracket lines 0 through 3 and PCB lines 4 and 5 accept 3.3 V DC to 24 V DC and provide 3.3 V DC outputs.

What power figure applies before connected PoE camera loads?

The grabber's listed power consumption is 28.5 W. The host power and thermal design must also account for attached camera loads, while maintaining the specified 0 to 55 °C working range and non-condensing environment.

When is the two-port MV-GT1102P the smaller alternative?

MV-GT1102P is the alternative when no more than two PoE camera links are needed. It uses 2 GB DDR4 and PCI-E gen3 × 4 and consumes 21.1 W, compared with four ports, 4 GB and gen3 × 8 here.
