Colour detail at a balanced frame rate
A 2432 × 2048 colour frame at up to 60 fps gives MV-SC5050XC its balance between spatial sampling and line rate. The 1/1.45-inch CMOS sensor uses 3.45 µm pixels and a global shutter, with exposure starting at 15 µs. OCR, object recognition and defect detection are available through Vision Master Platform and its deep-learning module, while 64 GB of onboard storage supports self-contained inspection jobs.
This combination suits colour-dependent label checks, assembly verification across a broad field and defect analysis where 1600 × 1216 does not preserve enough feature detail. The global shutter supports capture of moving material, and Gigabit Ethernet carries processed results over PROFINET, EtherNet/IP, Modbus, TCP or UDP. Three isolated inputs and three isolated outputs can coordinate acquisition and rejection with machine timing.
MV-SC5020XC increases the maximum rate to 100 fps but reduces the image to 1600 × 1216; choose it for shorter cycles with less detail demand. MV-SC5050XM matches 2432 × 2048 and 60 fps in mono, fitting inspections based on shape or intensity. MV-SC6120C moves to 4096 × 2944 at 40 fps, favouring a denser colour image when the process allows a lower acquisition rate.

Selection and applications
Colour label inspection at 2432 × 2048. Global-shutter assembly verification up to 60 fps. On-camera recognition with PLC result exchange.
Minimum kit: Install MV-SC5050XC with a C-mount lens or its mechanical optical configuration, a Gigabit Ethernet cable, a 12-pin M12 power and I/O cable, and a 24 VDC supply.
Nearby in the range: MV-SC5020XC — Prefer it when colour acquisition at up to 100 fps outweighs the lower 1600 × 1216 resolution.; MV-SC5050XM — Prefer it when the same 2432 × 2048 and 60 fps are needed in mono.; MV-SC6120C — Prefer it for 4096 × 2944 colour capture at up to 40 fps..

FAQ
What does the 2432 × 2048 colour format contribute to inspection?
The frame supplies more spatial samples than the 1600 × 1216 MV-SC5020XC while retaining colour information. Its 60 fps maximum sets the cycle boundary, so it fits stations where label features, component placement or colour-dependent defects need the denser image.
How is motion controlled at the sensor during acquisition?
A CMOS global shutter exposes the frame together, and exposure can start at 15 µs. Maximum acquisition is 60 fps at 2432 × 2048. Trigger timing can enter through one of three opto-isolated inputs, with three isolated outputs available for inspection results.
Which network and automation protocols are available?
The camera uses a 1000 Mbit/s Gigabit Ethernet interface. Its protocol list includes PROFINET, EtherNet/IP, Modbus, TCP, UDP, Fins, MC and FTP. A separate RS-232 channel is present on the 12-pin M12 power and I/O connector.
What changes between C-mount and mechanical exposure ranges?
The C-mount version spans 15 µs to 1 sec. The mechanical version spans 15 µs to 3000 µs. Both share the 2432 × 2048 colour sensor and 60 fps maximum, but the longer listed integration range belongs to the C-mount configuration.
What power and protection conditions should the installation meet?
Supply is 24 VDC. Typical C-mount consumption is 10 W and its stated maximum is 14.4 W; a mechanical configuration with its included light on is listed at 12.3 W typical and 48 W maximum. IP67 requires correct installation of the waterproof lens cap.
