Applications and neighbours
Gigabit Ethernet, PoE and a global-shutter Sony® IMX296 sensor shape MV-CB016-10GC-C for networked color capture. The 1/2.9-inch sensor delivers 1440 × 1080 Bayer RG 8 images at 65.2 fps from 3.45 µm pixels. A C-mount is integrated into the 29 mm × 29 mm × 30.2 mm body, and the interface supports 1000 Mbit/s as well as 100 Mbit/s Ethernet.
The camera fits conveyor presence checks, color sorting and machine-cycle observation where 65.2 fps and global exposure are sufficient for the target motion. UltraShort exposure operates from 1 µs to 14 µs; Standard mode extends from 15 µs to 10 sec. Power can share the Ethernet link through PoE, or enter through the 6-pin connection at 9 VDC to 24 VDC. That connector also exposes one input, one output and one bidirectional non-isolated I/O line.
MV-CB016-10GC-S has the same IMX296 image format, 65.2 fps rate and Gigabit Ethernet electronics but substitutes an M12-mount for the C-mount. For higher local-link speed, MV-CB016-10UC-S V4.0 uses USB 3.0 and reaches 249.1 fps in ADC 8, with a Sony® IMX273 sensor and S-mount. Choose the 10GC-C for a C-mount optic and Ethernet/PoE; use 10GC-S for M12 optics or the USB model when the higher frame rate governs selection.

FAQ
Can MV-CB016-10GC-C use one Ethernet cable for power and data?
Yes. Its Gigabit Ethernet interface supports PoE, allowing the network connection to carry both functions. The alternative supply range is 9 VDC to 24 VDC through the 6-pin connector, and typical consumption is 2.7 W at 12 VDC.
What image rate and format does MV-CB016-10GC-C provide?
The Sony® IMX296 color sensor outputs 1440 × 1080 Bayer RG 8 at up to 65.2 fps. It uses a global shutter and 3.45 µm pixels on a 1/2.9-inch optical format, with a specified dynamic range of 74 dB.
Which exposure mode should be used on MV-CB016-10GC-C?
UltraShort mode covers 1 µs to 14 µs for tightly timed, illuminated motion capture. Standard mode begins at 15 µs and extends to 10 sec for ordinary triggered work or static scenes. Both operate with the sensor's global shutter.
What external signals can connect to MV-CB016-10GC-C?
The 6-pin connector includes one non-isolated input on Line 0, one non-isolated output on Line 1 and one bidirectional non-isolated I/O on Line 2. The same connector can carry a 9 VDC to 24 VDC supply when PoE is not used.
How does the C version differ from MV-CB016-10GC-S?
MV-CB016-10GC-C provides a C-mount, whereas MV-CB016-10GC-S provides an M12-mount. Both use the Sony® IMX296 color sensor, 1440 × 1080 resolution, 65.2 fps maximum rate and the same 29 mm × 29 mm × 30.2 mm envelope.
