Four-row mono capture with PoE

A 4096 × 4 mono CMOS array with 1-Line, 2-TDI and 4-TDI modes distinguishes MV-CL044-91NM. Its 7 × 7 µm pixels use a 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet link that remains compatible with 1000 Mbit/s and 100 Mbit/s networks. Full-resolution Mono 8 reaches 75.3 kHz in 1-Line or 2-TDI and 40 kHz in 4-TDI; Mono 10/12 reaches 37.6 kHz in all three modes.

For narrower inspection regions, Mono 8 in 1-Line mode can reach 160 kHz at 1928 pixels or below. The mode and region choices support moving mono inspection where illumination, cross-object coverage and line density must be balanced. Four bidirectional configurable I/O signals on the 12-pin P10 connector can be used as single-ended or differential lines for coordination with the transport.

MV-CL042-91GM is a 4096 × 2 Gigabit Ethernet model with 1-Line/2-TDI and an 80 kHz ceiling. MV-CL044-91NC retains 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet and the 7 µm pitch but uses a 4096 × 3, 1-Line array with a 100 kHz reduced-width maximum. MV-CL084-91CM extends the mono line to 8192 × 4 over Camera Link, reaching 100 kHz in 80-bit operation when twice the cross-web sampling is needed.

Selection and applications

4-TDI mono web inspection. PoE 4K line acquisition. Reduced-width scanning at 160 kHz.

Minimum kit: Use the MV-CL044-91NM camera, an M42*1.0 line-scan lens or adapted optic, a 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet cable, and either PoE or a 12 V DC to 24 V DC source.

Nearby in the range: MV-CL042-91GM — Prefer it for 4096 × 2 imaging over standard Gigabit Ethernet.; MV-CL044-91NC — Prefer it for a 4096 × 3 array with 1-Line operation.; MV-CL084-91CM — Prefer it for an 8192 × 4 mono line over Camera Link..

FAQ

How do TDI mode and bit depth affect MV-CL044-91NM speed?

At full resolution, Mono 8 reaches 75.3 kHz in 1-Line and 2-TDI, and 40 kHz in 4-TDI. Mono 10/12 reaches 37.6 kHz in 1-Line, 2-TDI or 4-TDI, so both mode and output depth must be included in throughput planning.

What setup allows MV-CL044-91NM to operate at 160 kHz?

The 160 kHz maximum applies after reducing the region of interest to 1928 pixels or below, using Mono 8 in 1-Line mode. Full-resolution 4096-pixel Mono 8 instead reaches 75.3 kHz in 1-Line or 2-TDI.

Can PoE power the MV-CL044-91NM during 2.5 GigE acquisition?

Yes. The power entry lists PoE alongside a 12 V DC to 24 V DC input. Typical consumption is 7.3 W at 12 V DC, allowing either a suitable PoE network path or a separate DC supply to power the camera.

What optics and adapters fit the MV-CL044-91NM front end?

The camera uses M42*1.0 with a 12 mm flange back length. F-mount, C-mount and other lenses can be connected through an adapter ring. The optic must cover the 4096-pixel line and resolve the 7 µm pixels.

Which enclosure and temperature limits apply to MV-CL044-91NM?

The IP40 housing measures 62 mm × 62 mm × 46.1 mm and works from -20 °C to 55 °C at 20% RH to 80% RH without condensation. Storage is rated from -30 °C to 80 °C, with proper lens installation and wiring assumed.
