Faster mono GigE inspection at 1.6 MP

A 78.2 fps Mono frame over Gigabit Ethernet differentiates MV-CS016-11GM from the other 1.6 MP network variants. The Sony® IMX273 CMOS sensor combines 1440 × 1080 resolution, 3.45 µm pixels, a 1/2.9-inch format and a global shutter. UltraShort exposure reaches down to 1 µs, and the camera supplies a 74 dB dynamic range. This makes it a networked mono platform for moving features that still require a denser sampling grid.

Use the camera for intensity-based position checks, fine silhouettes, component presence and repeated edge observations on a conveyor. The global shutter protects moving geometry, while the 1440 × 1080 grid supports closer feature placement than the 1280 × 1024 MV-CS013-80GM. Gigabit Ethernet also supports Fast Ethernet, and PoE can combine data and power; the P7 port remains available for a separate 9–24 V DC feed and timing I/O.

MV-CS016-10GM uses the IMX296 at 65.2 fps over Gigabit Ethernet and includes two suggested C-mount lenses. MV-CS016-10UC uses the IMX273 for 249.1 fps Bayer RG 8 color capture through USB 3.0. MV-CS013-80GM reduces the image to 1280 × 1024 but raises its GigE mono rate to 89.9 fps. Choose MV-CS016-11GM when the station needs IMX273 Mono output, PoE and 1440 × 1080 at the faster network speed point.

FAQ

What changes between MV-CS016-11GM and MV-CS016-10GM?

MV-CS016-11GM uses the Sony® IMX273 and reaches 78.2 fps, while MV-CS016-10GM uses the Sony IMX296 and reaches 65.2 fps. Both records specify 1440 × 1080 resolution, a global shutter and Gigabit Ethernet.

How short can the exposure be for moving inspection?

UltraShort exposure spans 1 µs to 14 µs, and standard exposure spans 15 µs to 10 sec. The IMX273 global shutter exposes the entire frame together, allowing short settings to limit motion displacement when illumination is sufficient.

Does the Ethernet connection support PoE operation?

Yes. The camera supports PoE on Gigabit Ethernet, with Fast Ethernet also supported. A separate 9–24 V DC supply can be connected through the 6-pin P7 port.

What I/O resources are available for machine timing?

The P7 connector provides one opto-isolated input, one opto-isolated output and one bidirectional non-isolated I/O. These three signal paths can link image acquisition with a part sensor, controller or other timed station event.

What optics and ambient range fit the MV-CS016-11GM installation?

The camera takes a C-mount lens covering a 1/2.9-inch sensor. Its 29 mm × 29 mm × 42 mm IP40 body is specified for operation from –30 °C to 60 °C and storage from –30 °C to 80 °C.
