High-rate mono processing near the host
Mono 8 acquisition at 60 fps gives MV-CS050-60UM V2.0 a high-rate grayscale operating point. A 2/3-inch Stacked BSI global-shutter CMOS sensor records 2448 × 2048 through USB3.0, using 3.45 µm pixels and 73.9 dB dynamic range. The camera accepts exposure from 5 µs to 10 sec and can receive its operating power from the USB3.0 host link.
The 60 fps stream supports rapid edge location, part counting and dimension checks when the processing host is close to the camera. Global exposure retains geometry on moving components, while the 5 µs limit supports brief capture under sufficient light. One isolated input can initiate acquisition, and the isolated output plus bidirectional line can coordinate other station events.
MV-CS050-60UC V2.0 carries Bayer GR 8 color at the same 2448 × 2048 resolution and 60 fps. MV-CS050-60UM V5.0 preserves the USB mono rate, reduces typical use from 1.7 W to 1.5 W at 5 VDC and adds high full well capacity plus high sensitivity modes. MV-CS050-60GM V2.0 moves the mono stream to Gigabit Ethernet with PoE, where the full-frame limit is 23 fps.

FAQ
What mono frame rate is available from MV-CS050-60UM V2.0?
The camera produces 2448 × 2048 Mono 8 at up to 60 fps. Its imager is a 2/3-inch Stacked BSI global-shutter CMOS sensor with 3.45 µm × 3.45 µm pixels and 73.9 dB dynamic range.
What motion-related settings does MV-CS050-60UM V2.0 provide?
Global shutter operation exposes the frame together, and exposure can be set from 5 µs to 10 sec. A hardware event can enter through the opto-isolated input on the 6-pin P7 connector.
Can the USB3.0 link power MV-CS050-60UM V2.0 directly?
Yes. USB3.0 power is supported, with typical consumption of 1.7 W at 5 VDC. A 9 VDC to 24 VDC supply can be used instead. The image interface also accepts a USB2.0 connection.
What optical format should be used with MV-CS050-60UM V2.0?
Fit a C-mount lens covering the 2/3-inch image format. Resolution should suit the 3.45 µm pixels and 2448 × 2048 Mono 8 frame, with focal length chosen for the required scene coverage.
What is gained by moving from MV-CS050-60UM V2.0 to V5.0?
V5.0 adds high full well capacity and high sensitivity operating modes while retaining 2448 × 2048 Mono 8 at 60 fps. It lists 1.5 W typical consumption at 5 VDC, compared with 1.7 W for V2.0.
