GMAX3405 color capture and neighbours
A GMAX3405 global-shutter sensor and exposure down to 2 µs characterize MV-CS050-90GC. The 2/3-inch CMOS imager has 3.4 µm pixels and produces 2448 × 2048 Bayer GB 8 color at 24.2 fps. Its Gigabit Ethernet connection supports PoE, while 66 dB dynamic range and a standard exposure ceiling of 10 sec cover a broad timing span.
The UltraShort range from 2 µs to 4 µs supports color inspection of rapidly moving features when short illumination is available. Standard capture begins at 5 µs, and a global shutter keeps the full frame on the same timing interval. A P7 isolated input and output connect acquisition and lighting to the machine, with the camera operating in a 29 mm × 29 mm × 42 mm enclosure.
MV-CS050-90GM is the Mono 8 version with the same GMAX3405, resolution and 24.2 fps. MV-CS050-80GC V5.0 keeps GigE color at 2448 × 2048 but changes to an SS sensor, runs at 24 fps and starts exposure at 25 µs. MV-CS050-10GC-PRO also reaches 24.2 fps in color, using a Sony® IMX264 with 3.45 µm pixels and a 1 µs to 14 µs UltraShort range.

FAQ
What image format is produced by the MV-CS050-90GC GMAX3405?
The GMAX3405 produces 2448 × 2048 Bayer GB 8 color at up to 24.2 fps. It is a 2/3-inch global-shutter CMOS sensor with 3.4 µm × 3.4 µm pixels and 66 dB dynamic range.
How short is UltraShort exposure on the MV-CS050-90GC?
UltraShort mode covers 2 µs to 4 µs, followed by standard exposure from 5 µs to 10 sec. The global shutter exposes the complete frame together, supporting timed color capture of fast motion.
What electrical connections power and trigger MV-CS050-90GC?
Power is available from PoE or a 9 VDC to 24 VDC source, with 2.3 W typical use at 12 VDC. A 6-pin P7 connector adds one isolated input, one isolated output and one bidirectional line.
Which lens and temperature range apply to MV-CS050-90GC?
The lens interface is C-mount for the 2/3-inch sensor. Camera operation is specified from –30 °C to 60 °C, storage from –30 °C to 80 °C, and IP40 after correct lens installation and wiring.
What changes when MV-CS050-90GM is chosen instead of 90GC?
The two cameras share GMAX3405, 2448 × 2048 resolution, 24.2 fps, global shutter and identical exposure ranges. MV-CS050-90GC outputs Bayer GB 8 color, while MV-CS050-90GM outputs Mono 8.
