Color inspection and range context

Fast 1440 × 1080 px color acquisition is the defining combination in MV-CT1CG0016/G. Its 1/2.9 in Stacked BSI CMOS sensor has 3.45 × 3.45 µm pixels and a global shutter. With lossless compression enabled, Bayer GB 8 output reaches 180 fps over Gigabit Ethernet, and the 8-pin M12 X-Code connection supports PoE.

The model fits moving-part sorting, label-color verification and orientation checks where both chromatic information and high cycle rate are required. A 23 µs minimum exposure and machine-controlled triggering help freeze events. Binning and decimation at 2 × 2 or 4 × 4 can reduce spatial data, while IP67 construction and the –30 °C to 60 °C working range suit correctly sealed shop-floor stations.

MV-CT1CG0004/G reaches 200.5 fps but provides only 720 × 540 px; MV-CT1CG0020/G increases the image to 1624 × 1240 px at 177.3 fps. MV-CT1MG0016/G matches 1440 × 1080 px and 180 fps over the same interface but is monochrome. Choose MV-CT1CG0016/G for the middle color resolution, or the MG counterpart when intensity data alone is required.

Selection and applications

Fast label-color verification. Moving-part color sorting. Triggered orientation inspection.

Minimum kit: Combine the camera with a C-mount lens, an 8-pin M12 X-Code Gigabit Ethernet cable, and PoE or an external 9–24 V DC source.

Nearby in the range: MV-CT1CG0004/G — Prefer it for 200.5 fps when 720 × 540 px is sufficient.; MV-CT1CG0020/G — Prefer it for 1624 × 1240 px color at 177.3 fps with lossless compression..

FAQ

What lens choices are listed for MV-CT1CG0016/G C-mount imaging?

MVL-KF1628M-12MP and MVL-KF5024M-25MP are the suggested C-mount lenses. Both cover the camera's 1/2.9 in sensor, and their 12 MP and 25 MP nominal classes exceed the 1440 × 1080 px image. Either can therefore support the recorded sensor area and detail level.

How does PoE simplify an MV-CT1CG0016/G installation?

Power and Gigabit Ethernet data can share the connection through the 8-pin M12 X-Code interface. The camera's typical draw is 1.6 W at 12 V DC when fast heat balance is not enabled. If PoE is not used, the 8-pin M8 A-Code power and I/O connector accepts 9 V DC to 24 V DC.

What frame rate should be expected from MV-CT1CG0016/G?

The listed maximum is 180 fps at 1440 × 1080 px in Bayer GB 8 when lossless compression is enabled. The sensor uses a global shutter and exposure starts at 23 µs, so the camera can capture moving color features without the geometry change produced by rolling readout.

Can MV-CT1CG0016/G synchronize with external equipment?

Trigger Width and Trigger Controlled exposure modes are supported. The M8 A-Code connection provides one opto-isolated input, one opto-isolated output and one bidirectional non-isolated I/O. These lines can connect the acquisition timing to machine sensors and lighting control.

What sealing conditions apply to MV-CT1CG0016/G installation?

IP67 applies under proper lens, lens cap and wiring installation. The 29 mm × 29 mm × 42 mm body weighs approximately 124 g and is specified for –30 °C to 60 °C operation. Humidity may be 20% RH to 95% RH as long as condensation does not occur.
