Speed, colour and selection context
High-rate colour imaging with four times the pixels of the 0.4 MP model is the role of MV-CT2CG0016/G. The 1/2.9-inch Stacked BSI CMOS sensor produces 1440 × 1080 Bayer GB 8 at 180 fps with lossless compression enabled. Its 3.45 µm pixels and global shutter combine detailed timing with a compact optical format.
This camera is suited to rapid colour sorting, orientation checks and presence decisions on moving parts when 720 × 540 does not provide enough sampling. The 23 µs exposure floor and external Trigger Width or Trigger Controlled modes support short, repeatable captures. GigE data can share its link with PoE, while an M12 A-Code port is available for control.
MV-CT2CG0004/G reaches 200.5 fps and uses larger 6.9 µm pixels, but its image is only 720 × 540. MV-CT2CG0020/G steps up to 1624 × 1240 at a close 177.3 fps on a 1/2.53-inch sensor. MV-CT2CG0032/G doubles the approximate pixel count to 3.2 MP, with a larger 1/1.8-inch sensor and a lower 77.5 fps ceiling.

FAQ
What C-mount optics are suggested for the 1.6 MP colour camera?
The suggestions are MVL-KF1628M-12MP and MVL-KF5024M-25MP. Their image circles cover the 1/2.9-inch format, and their 12 MP and 25 MP optical classes are above the approximately 1.6 MP, 1440 × 1080 sensor output.
Can PoE support the normal network installation of MV-CT2CG0016/G?
Yes. The Gigabit Ethernet port supports PoE through an 8-pin M12 X-Code connector. The alternative supply range is 9–24 V DC on the M8 A-Code connector, and typical consumption is 1.7 W at 24 V DC under the stated operating conditions.
How is 180 fps obtained at the full 1440 × 1080 resolution?
The stated maximum uses Bayer GB 8 with lossless compression mode enabled. Image data travels over 1000 Mbit/s Gigabit Ethernet, which is also compatible with 100 Mbit/s Fast Ethernet; link capacity must be considered when changing the output format.
Which shutter controls are available for synchronizing rapid colour capture?
The sensor has a global shutter and supports exposure from 23 µs to 10 sec. Exposure control includes Off, Once and Continuous operation, plus Trigger Width and Trigger Controlled modes for aligning a frame with the machine cycle.
Can the 1440 × 1080 image be binned or decimated onboard?
Yes. Binning and decimation both support 1 × 1, 2 × 2 and 4 × 4 settings. Horizontal and vertical reverse output is also available, unlike MV-CT2CG0004/G, whose binning and decimation functions are not supported.
