SC235 monochrome inspection and positioning
Mono 8 imaging at 1600 × 1200 gives MV-CU020-80GM more sampling than the 1.6 MP models while retaining a compact GigE layout. The 1/2.6-inch SC235 CMOS sensor combines 3.45 µm pixels, global-shutter exposure and a 53.5 fps maximum. Dynamic range is 60.4 dB, with exposure from 45 µs to 1 sec and gain from 0 dB to 24 dB.
Edge, feature and alignment checks on moving components follow directly from the monochrome format and global shutter. The 1600 × 1200 grid supports spatial analysis without the Bayer pattern of a color variant. Gigabit Ethernet carries the image stream, optional PoE can share that cable, and three P7 I/O paths provide isolated input, isolated output and bidirectional non-isolated signalling.
MV-CU020-80GC is the color counterpart with the same SC235, resolution and 53.5 fps. MV-CU016-10GM uses the same 3.45 µm pitch but reduces the grid to 1440 × 1080 and reaches 65.8 fps. MV-CU020-90GM increases width to 2048 × 1200 with 4 µm pixels and a 49 fps GMAX4002 sensor. Choose 80GM for the balance of Mono 8, global shutter, 1600 × 1200 and GigE.

FAQ
What monochrome measurement profile does MV-CU020-80GM offer?
The camera produces 1600 × 1200 Mono 8 frames at up to 53.5 fps from an SC235 sensor. Its 3.45 µm pixel pitch and global shutter provide a direct intensity grid for edge, feature and alignment calculations.
How are exposure and gain adjusted for the SC235 sensor?
Exposure is adjustable from 45 µs to 1 sec and gain from 0 dB to 24 dB. The listed dynamic range is 60.4 dB. These controls let the acquisition be balanced with illumination while retaining global-shutter timing.
What lens image circle and mount are required by 80GM?
The optical connection is C-mount and the sensor format is 1/2.6 inch. The lens should cover the full format and resolve the required detail over the 1600 × 1200 image formed by 3.45 µm pixels.
Which power routes can be used with the Gigabit Ethernet link?
The camera accepts 9–24 V DC and offers optional PoE. Typical consumption is 1.8 W at 12 V DC. Its 1000 Mbit/s Gigabit Ethernet interface is also listed for 100 Mbit/s Fast Ethernet operation.
What machine-side connections and environmental limits apply?
A 6-pin P7 connector has one isolated input, one isolated output and one bidirectional non-isolated I/O. The IP30 housing operates from 0 °C to 50 °C at 20–95% RH without condensation.
