Monochrome IMX296 applications and neighbours
A Sony IMX296 global-shutter sensor anchors MV-CU016-10GM for monochrome inspection at 1440 × 1080. The 1/2.9-inch CMOS device uses 3.45 µm pixels and supplies Mono 8 at up to 65.8 fps through Gigabit Ethernet. Its 74 dB dynamic range is paired with an UltraShort 1–14 µs mode and a standard exposure interval from 15 µs to 10 sec.
Fine edge, position and shape checks on moving components can use the monochrome sampling without a color mosaic. UltraShort exposure supports blur reduction under strong illumination, while the global shutter keeps the geometry of each frame coherent. The C-mount camera can use optional PoE, and the P7 connection supplies isolated input and output plus a bidirectional non-isolated I/O for timing.
MV-CU016-10GC is the color counterpart with the same IMX296 geometry and 65.8 fps. MV-CU020-80GM raises the image to 1600 × 1200 at 53.5 fps using an SC235 sensor, while MV-CU013-A0GM trades down to 1280 × 1024 but rises to 91.3 fps with 4.8 µm pixels.
