Global-shutter color at 1600 × 1200
An SC235 CMOS sensor gives MV-CU020-80GC a 1600 × 1200 color image with global-shutter timing. The 1/2.6-inch format uses 3.45 µm pixels and supplies Bayer BG 8 at 53.5 fps. Data moves through 1000 Mbit/s Gigabit Ethernet, with 100 Mbit/s Fast Ethernet support, while exposure extends from 45 µs to 1 sec.
The combination suits color presence, orientation and assembly-state inspection where targets move and roughly 1.9 MP supplies the required detail. Global exposure supports consistent geometry, and the discrete P7 connection can coordinate capture through one isolated input, one isolated output and one bidirectional non-isolated I/O. Optional PoE allows network and power routing to be combined.
MV-CU020-80GM retains the SC235, 1600 × 1200 grid and 53.5 fps but outputs Mono 8. MV-CU016-10GC reduces resolution to 1440 × 1080 and raises speed to 65.8 fps on a Sony IMX296. MV-CU020-90UC increases the image to 2048 × 1200 and reaches 150.2 fps over USB 3.0 with color. Select 80GC when global-shutter color and GigE at the 1600 × 1200 operating point are needed.

FAQ
How does MV-CU020-80GC expose moving color targets?
The SC235 CMOS sensor uses a global shutter and produces 1600 × 1200 Bayer BG 8 frames at up to 53.5 fps. Exposure ranges from 45 µs to 1 sec, allowing timing to be balanced against motion and illumination.
What optical format should a C-mount lens cover on 80GC?
The lens should cover the 1/2.6-inch sensor and resolve the required object detail over 1600 × 1200. Pixel pitch is 3.45 µm × 3.45 µm, and C-mount defines the mechanical connection to the camera.
Can MV-CU020-80GC be installed with PoE networking?
PoE is optional. The alternative supply input is 9–24 V DC, and typical consumption is 1.9 W at 12 V DC. Image data uses 1000 Mbit/s Gigabit Ethernet with 100 Mbit/s Fast Ethernet support.
Which trigger and controller lines are available on this model?
The 6-pin P7 connector provides one opto-isolated input, one opto-isolated output and one bidirectional non-isolated I/O. These lines give the machine a hardware route for acquisition timing and camera status.
What are the body, ingress and operating limits of 80GC?
The camera weighs about 97 g and measures 29 mm × 29 mm × 42 mm. It is IP30 with correct lens installation and wiring and operates at 0–50 °C and 20–95% RH without condensation.
