High-detail monochrome GigE inspection
A 2592 × 1944 Mono 8 image gives MV-CU050-30GM its 5 MP measurement character. The 1/2.5-inch AR0521 CMOS sensor uses 2.2 µm pixels and a rolling shutter, delivering up to 24 fps over 1000 Mbit/s Gigabit Ethernet. Dynamic range is 63 dB, while exposure spans 21 µs to 1 sec and gain spans 0 dB to 15 dB.
Stationary edge, print and surface-feature inspection can use the dense monochrome grid without color interpolation. When geometry is measured, the part should remain still or move in a controlled way during rolling-shutter exposure. The camera supports PoE and also provides a 6-pin P7 connection with one isolated input, one isolated output and one bidirectional non-isolated I/O.
MV-CU050-30GC retains the AR0521, 2592 × 1944 grid and 24 fps but changes to Bayer GR 8 color. MV-CU050-60UM keeps the resolution and Mono 8 output while moving to USB 3.0 at 48.2 fps. MV-CU050-90GM raises resolution to 2600 × 2160 and adds a global-shutter GMAX2505, though its rate is 21 fps. Select 30GM for AR0521 monochrome detail over GigE with supported PoE.

FAQ
What measurement data does MV-CU050-30GM provide in Mono 8?
The camera produces a 2592 × 1944 intensity image at up to 24 fps. Its AR0521 sensor has 2.2 µm pixels and a 63 dB dynamic range, providing the stated 5 MP grid for edges, print and surface features.
What target motion is appropriate for this rolling-shutter model?
Stationary targets or controlled motion during exposure are the direct fit when geometry matters. MV-CU050-30GM uses a rolling shutter, with exposure adjustable from 21 µs to 1 sec and full-frame acquisition at 24 fps.
How should optics be matched to the AR0521 image area?
The C-mount lens must cover the 1/2.5-inch sensor and resolve the necessary object detail over 2592 × 1944. Its 2.2 µm pixel pitch should be used with the scene coverage to determine the object-space sampling.
What PoE and external-power arrangements does 30GM support?
PoE is supported through the Gigabit Ethernet route. The separate input accepts 9–24 V DC, and typical consumption is 1.78 W at 12 V DC. The interface also lists 100 Mbit/s Fast Ethernet operation.
What are the installation limits for MV-CU050-30GM?
The 100 g body is 29 mm × 29 mm × 42 mm and IP30 with correct lens installation and wiring. It operates from 0 °C to 50 °C at 20–80% RH without condensation and provides three P7 I/O paths.
