Five-megapixel color capture over GigE
A 2592 × 1944 Bayer GR 8 image makes MV-CU050-30GC the 5 MP color rolling-shutter option in the lineup. Its AR0521 CMOS sensor has a 1/2.5-inch format and 2.2 µm pixels, reaching 24 fps through 1000 Mbit/s Gigabit Ethernet. Exposure covers 21 µs to 1 sec, with 63 dB dynamic range and 0–15 dB gain.
The dense color grid suits stationary label detail, print, component presence and surface-state checks where fine spatial sampling matters more than high frame rate. Motion should be held or controlled during rolling-shutter exposure when geometry is important. Supported PoE can combine power and data, while the 6-pin P7 connector provides an isolated input, isolated output and bidirectional non-isolated I/O.
MV-CU050-30GM is the Mono 8 counterpart with the same AR0521, resolution and 24 fps. MV-CU050-60UM retains 2592 × 1944 but changes to Mono USB 3.0 at 48.2 fps. MV-CU050-90GC raises the grid to 2600 × 2160, changes to a global-shutter GMAX2505 and runs at 21 fps. Select 30GC when 5 MP color, GigE and the AR0521 rolling-shutter format match the stationary inspection.

FAQ
What color detail does MV-CU050-30GC capture at full frame?
The AR0521 delivers 2592 × 1944 Bayer GR 8 color at up to 24 fps. Its 2.2 µm pixels on a 1/2.5-inch sensor provide the camera's 5 MP sampling for print, label and surface-state analysis.
How should motion be handled with the AR0521 rolling shutter?
For geometric inspection, the target should be stationary or its motion controlled during exposure. The camera's exposure range is 21 µs to 1 sec and its full-frame rate is 24 fps, defining the available acquisition timing.
What lens format is required for the 5 MP color sensor?
The C-mount lens should cover a 1/2.5-inch image circle and resolve the required object detail over 2592 × 1944. The 2.2 µm pixel pitch should be included when selecting magnification and optical resolution.
Can 30GC use PoE on its Gigabit Ethernet connection?
Yes. PoE is supported, and the camera also accepts 9–24 V DC. Typical consumption is 1.81 W at 12 V DC. The network interface runs at 1000 Mbit/s and also supports 100 Mbit/s Fast Ethernet.
Which enclosure and environmental figures apply to 30GC?
The 100 g housing measures 29 mm × 29 mm × 42 mm and is rated IP30 with proper lens installation and wiring. Operation is specified from 0 °C to 50 °C at 20–80% RH without condensation.
