Long-range capture and positioning

A 1000 mm measurement range and 1200 mm working distance define the long-range Base configuration. MV-RS-Base-L records RGB at 3200 × 1944 and depth at 1632 × 1264, with a 0.4 s to 0.9 s capture time. Its 638 nm Class 2 laser, Gigabit Ethernet link and 0.15 mm accuracy at 1800 mm suit measured RGB-D acquisition across large, deep scenes.

At 1800 mm the view spans 1100 mm × 900 mm, so the unit can observe broad containers, stacked objects or a large robot work area from one fixed station. Repeatability of 0.08 mm at that distance supports repeated pose or height checks. Three opto-isolated inputs and three opto-isolated outputs on the 12-pin M12 connection provide timing links to a cell controller.

Overview

A galvanometer 3D camera: a scanner sweeps the laser beam across the scene, two cameras capture the result, and the device builds a point cloud of the whole part in one shot, with no conveyor motion. Acquisition takes 0.4 to 0.9 seconds.

The main use is robot guidance: bin picking, palletising, depalletising. It works together with RobotPilot and VM3D.
