Detailed capture at long standoff

Dense long-range RGB-D capture defines MV-RS-Ultra-L. From a 1300 mm working distance it covers an 800 mm measurement range, recording a 4000 × 3000 RGB image and 2448 × 2048 depth map in 0.4 s to 0.9 s. Its 638 nm Class 2 laser supports 0.15 mm accuracy and 0.08 mm repeatability at 1800 mm.

The view expands from 700 mm × 600 mm at 1300 mm to 1200 mm × 1100 mm at 2100 mm. That pairing of view and point count fits pose estimation across deep containers, detailed stack profiling and dimensional checks where small geometric changes must remain represented at a long standoff. IP65 protection and isolated I/O support a fixed machine-cell installation.

Compared with MV-RS-Base-L, MV-RS-Ultra-L uses a denser 2448 × 2048 depth map instead of 1632 × 1264 while retaining 0.15 mm accuracy at 1800 mm. MV-RS-Ultra-M starts closer at 700 mm and covers a 700 mm range; MV-RS-Ultra-XL starts at 1500 mm and doubles the range to 2000 mm. Choose MV-RS-Ultra-L for the intermediate long-range envelope with Ultra depth sampling.

Overview

A galvanometer 3D camera: a scanner sweeps the laser beam across the scene, two cameras capture the result, and the device builds a point cloud of the whole part in one shot, with no conveyor motion. Acquisition takes 0.4 to 0.9 seconds.

The main use is robot guidance: bin picking, palletising, depalletising. It works together with RobotPilot and VM3D.
