Mono Stacked BSI capture at 60.3 fps

Mono 8 output from a 1/2.53-inch Stacked BSI sensor is the defining configuration of MV-CS020-60GM. The CMOS device combines 1624 × 1240 resolution, 3.45 µm pixels, a global shutter and a 60.3 fps ceiling. Gigabit Ethernet provides image transport with Fast Ethernet support. This 2 MP model concentrates on intensity and geometry within the smaller sensor format.

Edge location, silhouette, presence and alignment inspection can use the 1624 × 1240 mono image while production parts remain in motion. Global exposure maintains shape consistency across the frame, and the 23 µs lower exposure setting supports short acquisitions under suitable illumination. PoE can share the Ethernet path, while the 6-pin P7 port offers 9–24 V DC power and three I/O lines for timing the camera with other station events.

MV-CS020-60GC keeps the Stacked BSI sensor, 3.45 µm pitch and 60.3 fps but changes the stream to Bayer GB 8 color. MV-CS020-10GM uses the larger 1/1.7-inch IMX430 and 4.5 µm pixels at 60 fps. MV-CS020-61GM V5.0 retains Mono 8, enlarges the sensor format to 1/1.7 inch, raises the rate slightly to 60.7 fps and adds two exposure/gain modes. Select MV-CS020-60GM for mono work with the 1/2.53-inch sensor footprint.

FAQ

When is the Mono 8 output useful in this 2 MP group?

Mono 8 is suited to decisions based on brightness, edge position and shape rather than hue. MV-CS020-60GM supplies that output at 1624 × 1240 and up to 60.3 fps from a global-shutter Stacked BSI sensor.

How does MV-CS020-60GM compare with MV-CS020-60GC?

Both use the same 1/2.53-inch Stacked BSI format, 3.45 µm pixels, 1624 × 1240 resolution, 60.3 fps and Gigabit Ethernet. MV-CS020-60GM is Mono 8, while MV-CS020-60GC is Bayer GB 8 color.

What cabling can combine network transport and power?

The Gigabit Ethernet port supports PoE, allowing image data and camera power on the same network connection. A separate 9–24 V DC feed is also supported through the 6-pin P7 connector; typical consumption is 1.8 W at 12 V DC.

Which exposure and gain ranges are available on MV-CS020-60GM?

Exposure spans 23 µs to 10 sec, and gain spans 0 dB to 24 dB. Together with the global shutter, these controls cover short moving-part frames as well as slower scenes requiring longer integration.

What optical format and ambient limits must be accommodated?

Use C-mount optics covering the 1/2.53-inch sensor. The 29 mm × 29 mm × 42 mm IP40 body operates from –30 °C to 60 °C and is specified for 20% RH to 95% RH without condensation.
