Mono inspection role and options

Mono 8 acquisition from a Stacked BSI global-shutter sensor is the defining configuration of MV-CS032-60GM. The camera records 2048 × 1536 at 38.6 fps, with 3.45 µm pixels on a 1/1.8-inch CMOS device. A 73.9 dB dynamic range, 5 µs to 10 sec exposure span and Gigabit Ethernet interface support grayscale measurement under controlled timing.

Edge location, part orientation and dimensional inspection benefit from the mono output without a color-processing step. Moving targets can be synchronized through the opto-isolated input and captured with the global shutter; the short exposure limit is 5 µs. PoE supports a single network run for data and power, and the compact 29 mm × 29 mm × 42 mm body fits closely spaced stations.

Choose MV-CS032-60GC when the same Stacked BSI sensor, 2048 × 1536 frame and 38.6 fps rate must carry Bayer GR 8 color information. MV-CS032-10GC changes the imager to Sony® IMX265 and offers color at 38.1 fps plus exposure down to 1 µs. MV-CS050-10GM-PRO provides a larger 2448 × 2048 mono image from Sony® IMX264, trading rate down to 24.2 fps.

FAQ

What full-frame mono output is available from MV-CS032-60GM?

The stated full-frame stream is 2048 × 1536 Mono 8 at 38.6 fps. The sensor is a 1/1.8-inch Stacked BSI CMOS device with 3.45 µm × 3.45 µm pixels, global shutter and 73.9 dB dynamic range.

Why use the global shutter of MV-CS032-60GM for measurements?

A global shutter exposes the complete image at the same time, which aligns with edge, orientation and dimension measurements on moving targets. MV-CS032-60GM also permits exposure from 5 µs to 10 sec.

Can MV-CS032-60GM operate from PoE alone at the camera end?

PoE is supported over its Gigabit Ethernet connection. The alternate input range is 9 VDC to 24 VDC, and typical consumption is 2.1 W at 12 VDC. The Ethernet interface also accepts a 100 Mbit/s Fast Ethernet link.

Which I/O lines can synchronize an MV-CS032-60GM station?

Its 6-pin P7 connector includes one opto-isolated input, one opto-isolated output and one bidirectional non-isolated I/O. This arrangement can accept a capture event and coordinate an external device or controller.

What is the practical difference between MV-CS032-60GM and MV-CS032-60GC?

The cameras match in sensor architecture, 2048 × 1536 resolution, 38.6 fps maximum rate and 5 µs minimum exposure. MV-CS032-60GM supplies Mono 8 data; MV-CS032-60GC supplies Bayer GR 8 color data.
