Monochrome detail over Gigabit Ethernet

Fine monochrome sampling with a network interface characterizes the MV-CS120-10GM V5.0. A 12.2 MP Sony® IMX226 rolling-shutter CMOS sensor generates 4024 × 3036 Mono 8 frames at up to 10 fps. Its 1/1.7-inch active format has 1.85 µm pixels and a dynamic range of 69.4 dB. Exposure extends from 33 µs to 2 sec, while the data link is 1000 Mbit/s Gigabit Ethernet with 100 Mbit/s Fast Ethernet operation also supported.

The mono output supports dimensional measurement, contour analysis and inspection of small contrast features where color is not required. PoE can combine the network data path with power; an external 9 VDC to 24 VDC source may instead enter through the 6-pin P7 connection. That connector also carries one opto-isolated input, one opto-isolated output and one bidirectional non-isolated I/O. The 29 mm × 29 mm × 42 mm housing accepts C-mount lenses.

MV-CS120-10GC V5.0 uses the same 4024 × 3036, 10 fps and Gigabit Ethernet platform but records Bayer RG 8 color. MV-CS120-10UM V5.0 remains mono and raises the full-resolution rate to 29.4 fps by moving to USB 3.0. For more pixels with the same network type, MV-CS200-10GM reaches 5472 × 3648 at 5.9 fps; choose it when spatial sampling is more important than the 10 fps ceiling.
