Integrated 5 MP inspection head

Integrated lighting and optics distinguish MV-CT2MG0050/G/16LC/WN from the standard 5 MP camera. A 16 mm liquid lens on C-mount and white illumination are assembled around a monochrome Stacked BSI CMOS sensor. The 2/3 in global-shutter device records 2448 × 2048 at up to 59.2 fps in losslessly compressed Mono 8, using 3.45 × 3.45 µm pixels and Gigabit Ethernet output.

This arrangement supports compact inspection heads where the camera, 16 mm liquid lens and integrated white light must be mechanically grouped. The light provides a 6000 K to 9000 K white output over a 90° irradiation angle and is rated at approximately 7.7 W. Trigger Width and Trigger Controlled modes coordinate the global exposure with moving hardware. The complete 77 mm × 77 mm × 123.8 mm assembly is IP67 when its lens cap and cabling are installed correctly.

MV-CT2MG0050/G matches the 2448 × 2048 and 59.2 fps imaging performance but uses a separate C-mount lens in a 42 mm × 42 mm × 43 mm body. The integrated MV-CT2MG0032/G/16LC/WN offers 2048 × 1536 at 77.5 fps for a faster, lower-resolution task. MV-CT2MG0120/G/16LC/WN raises the integrated format to 4096 × 3000 at 23.9 fps for greater spatial sampling.

FAQ

Does MV-CT2MG0050/G/16LC/WN require a separate machine-vision lens?

The /16LC/WN assembly already includes a 16 mm liquid lens on a C-mount. The completed unit measures 77 mm × 77 mm × 123.8 mm, compared with the 42 mm × 42 mm × 43 mm camera body inside it. Optical selection is therefore defined by the integrated 16 mm configuration.

What illumination is built into this 5 MP integrated version?

It includes white light rated at approximately 7.7 W. The listed color temperature is 6000 K to 9000 K, and the irradiation angle is 90° to the horizontal direction. The lens-cap bore is Ø38.5 mm, with the light arranged as part of the optical assembly.

Can PoE operate the camera portion of the /16LC/WN assembly?

Yes. The camera supports PoE and also accepts 9 V DC to 24 V DC. Its typical consumption is 1.6 W at 24 V DC under the stated condition, while the integrated light is rated separately at approximately 7.7 W. Gigabit Ethernet connects through an 8-pin M12 X-Code interface.

What is the shortest exposure for high-sensitivity inspection?

High-sensitivity operation allows exposure from 5 µs to 10 sec and gain from 0 dB to 24 dB. High full well capacity operation starts at 30 µs and limits gain to 12.8 dB. Both operate with the 2448 × 2048 global-shutter sensor.

What operating temperatures apply to the camera and lens cap?

The camera body is specified for –30 °C to 60 °C. The integrated lens cap is specified for 0 °C to 40 °C, making that narrower interval the relevant working range for the complete optical assembly. Both camera and lens cap list storage from –30 °C to 80 °C.
