Color motion inspection at 1440 × 1080

Sony IMX296 color capture at 1440 × 1080 gives MV-CU016-10GC a 1.6 MP operating point between the 1.3 MP and 1.9 MP cameras. The 1/2.9-inch CMOS sensor has 3.45 µm pixels, a global shutter and a 65.8 fps Bayer RG 8 stream over Gigabit Ethernet. Dynamic range is 74 dB, and the UltraShort mode spans 1–14 µs.

The global shutter and short exposure mode suit color verification, orientation and alignment on moving components when 1440 × 1080 contains enough detail. Standard exposure continues from 15 µs to 10 sec for slower or stationary scenes. Optional PoE simplifies the network and power route, while a 6-pin P7 connector provides one isolated input, one isolated output and one bidirectional non-isolated I/O.

MV-CU016-10GM keeps the Sony IMX296, resolution and 65.8 fps rate but changes to Mono 8. MV-CU013-A0GC is slightly faster at 91.3 fps with 1280 × 1024 and larger 4.8 µm pixels. MV-CU020-80GC increases resolution to 1600 × 1200 but runs at 53.5 fps on an SC235 sensor. Select MV-CU016-10GC for color, 3.45 µm sampling and the IMX296 UltraShort exposure mode.

FAQ

What motion-control options does MV-CU016-10GC provide?

The Sony IMX296 uses a global shutter, and the camera reaches 65.8 fps at 1440 × 1080 Bayer RG 8. UltraShort exposure covers 1–14 µs, followed by a 15 µs–10 sec standard range for broader lighting conditions.

Which optical coverage and pixel pitch apply to this color model?

MV-CU016-10GC uses a 1/2.9-inch sensor with 3.45 µm × 3.45 µm pixels and a C-mount. The lens must cover that format and resolve the required object detail across the 1440 × 1080 image.

Can the Gigabit Ethernet connection also power the 10GC?

PoE is optional, and the camera also accepts 9–24 V DC. Typical consumption is 2 W at 12 V DC. The data interface is Gigabit Ethernet with Fast Ethernet support, allowing either combined or separate power routing.

What discrete machine connections are available on MV-CU016-10GC?

A 6-pin P7 connector presents one opto-isolated input, one opto-isolated output and one bidirectional non-isolated I/O. These provide hardware paths for acquisition timing and controller exchange independent of the image network.

What housing conditions should be maintained around the camera?

The unit is rated IP30 with proper lens installation and wiring and operates from 0 °C to 50 °C at 20–95% RH non-condensing. Its body measures 29 mm × 29 mm × 42 mm and weighs about 100 g.
