Detailed mono work at moderate cadence

Mono global-shutter acquisition at 2048 × 1536 and 40 fps defines MV-SC3030XM as the mid-resolution grayscale member of the SC3000X group. Its 1/1.8-inch CMOS sensor uses 3.45 µm pixels and accepts exposures from 6 µs to 1 sec. The 16 mm optical system uses an M12 mount with mechanical autofocus, and white spot illumination is standard with red, blue or IR point-source alternatives.

Grayscale measurement, OCR, code recognition, object detection, anomaly detection and coordinate conversion can be assembled into detailed inspection sequences. The global shutter and 6 µs minimum exposure support moving-part capture when sufficient light is available. A 12-pin M12 connector combines 24 V DC, three opto-isolated inputs, three opto-isolated outputs and RS-232, while Fast Ethernet provides the data interface.

MV-SC3030XC preserves the 2048 × 1536 grid, 40 fps rate and 3.45 µm pitch but provides color processing. MV-SC3013XM reduces mono resolution to 1216 × 1024 and raises speed to 60 fps with 6.9 µm pixels. MV-SC3050XM keeps mono capture at 40 fps and increases the frame to 2432 × 2048. Choose MV-SC3030XM when the 3.1 MP-class frame balances detail with cadence; step up for more samples or down for more speed.

FAQ

How much mono detail can MV-SC3030XM capture at 40 fps?

The global-shutter CMOS sensor delivers 2048 × 1536 mono images at up to 40 fps. Its 1/1.8-inch format uses 3.45 µm pixels, giving the model a 3.1 MP-class sampling grid for grayscale inspection.

What exposure and gain controls are provided by MV-SC3030XM?

Exposure is adjustable from 6 µs to 1 sec, and gain runs from 0 dB to 15 dB. Those ranges allow the image level and motion exposure to be balanced around the selected spot illumination and target speed.

Which lens configuration is identified for the MV-SC3030XM?

The model lists a 16 mm focal length, an M12 mount and support for mechanical autofocus. White spot light is standard, with red, blue or IR point sources optional, and one aiming LED helps place the image.

Can MV-SC3030XM store multiple inspection projects internally?

Yes. Up to 32 projects can be stored, with import and export supported. The available processing includes OCR, code recognition, measurement, anomaly detection, object detection and coordinate tools for those projects.

For which inspection rates is MV-SC3013XM faster than MV-SC3030XM?

MV-SC3013XM reaches 60 fps, compared with 40 fps for MV-SC3030XM, but its frame is 1216 × 1024 rather than 2048 × 1536. Both are mono global-shutter models; their pixel pitches are 6.9 µm and 3.45 µm respectively.
