Five-megapixel color applications

Color analysis across 2432 × 2048 pixels places MV-SC3050XC at the detailed end of the global-shutter SC3000X range. Its 1/1.45-inch CMOS sensor uses 3.45 µm pixels and reaches 40 fps, with exposure adjustable from 6 µs to 1 sec. The M12 mount supports mechanical autofocus. A white spot light is fitted by default, while red, blue or IR point-light options allow the illumination response to be matched to the object.

Color recognition, OCR, code reading, object detection, learning-based counting, anomaly detection and coordinate conversion can share one sensor project. This combination suits detailed label, colored-part, feature and position checks on indexed or moving targets. The 12-pin M12 connection carries 24 V DC, three opto-isolated inputs, three opto-isolated outputs and RS-232; Fast Ethernet handles communication, and up to 32 projects can be stored.

MV-SC3050XM uses the same 2432 × 2048 global-shutter format and 40 fps limit in mono. MV-SC3030XC retains color and 40 fps but records 2048 × 1536 on a 1/1.8-inch sensor. MV-SC3060XC increases color resolution to 3200 × 1920, changes to a rolling shutter and lowers the rate to 20 fps. Select MV-SC3050XC when color detail, global exposure and 40 fps must coexist; choose MV-SC3060XC for a denser, slower scene.

Selection and applications

Detailed color defect analysis. High-density label recognition. Global-shutter position checks.

Minimum kit: A working system combines MV-SC3050XC, a mechanically autofocused M12 lens and selected spot illumination with Fast Ethernet, a 12-pin M12 I/O cable and a 24 V DC supply.

Nearby in the range: MV-SC3050XM — Prefer it when 2432 × 2048 inspection should use monochrome images at 40 fps.; MV-SC3030XC — Use it when 2048 × 1536 color sampling provides enough detail at the same rate.; MV-SC3060XC — Choose it for 3200 × 1920 color resolution when 20 fps rolling-shutter capture fits..

FAQ

What color image performance does MV-SC3050XC deliver?

The 1/1.45-inch CMOS sensor records 2432 × 2048 color frames at up to 40 fps. It uses a global shutter and 3.45 µm pixels, with exposure adjustable from 6 µs to 1 sec and gain from 0 dB to 15 dB.

Which high-detail tasks can MV-SC3050XC process onboard?

Its functions include color recognition, color measurement, OCR, learning OCR, code recognition, object detection, learning-based counting and anomaly detection. Measurement and coordinate tools support dimensional and position decisions.

How are focus and illumination configured on MV-SC3050XC?

An M12 mount with mechanical autofocus is listed. The standard source is a white spot light, with red, blue or IR point sources available as alternatives, and one aiming LED supports placement of the inspection view.

What power and I/O resources are available on MV-SC3050XC?

The sensor takes 24 V DC and uses 7 W on average or 22 W maximum with its light enabled. A 12-pin M12 connection provides three opto-isolated inputs, three opto-isolated outputs and RS-232 alongside power.

Why choose MV-SC3050XC rather than the MV-SC3060XC?

MV-SC3050XC uses a global shutter and reaches 40 fps at 2432 × 2048. MV-SC3060XC provides a larger 3200 × 1920 color image but uses a rolling shutter and reaches 20 fps, with exposure starting at 540 µs.
