High-resolution mono selection boundary
Mono sampling at 3200 × 1920 gives MV-SC3060XM the densest grayscale grid among the SC3000X models in the lineup. The 1/2.4-inch CMOS sensor has 2 µm pixels, a rolling shutter and a 20 fps ceiling. Exposure covers 540 µs to 200 ms. Its M12 mount permits mechanical focus, paired with focused white illumination by default and optional red, blue, IR or UV sources.
OCR, code recognition, object detection, classification, pattern counting, exception detection and measurement tools exploit the large monochrome frame. The rolling shutter points the design toward stopped, indexed or otherwise controlled targets whose motion has been validated at the working exposure. Fast Ethernet supplies communication, and a 12-pin M12 connection combines 12–24 V DC power, three isolated inputs, three isolated outputs and RS-232.
MV-SC3060XC retains 3200 × 1920, 20 fps and rolling exposure but supplies color information and color-specific tools. MV-SC3050XM uses a smaller 2432 × 2048 mono grid, yet its global shutter and 40 fps maximum suit faster motion. MV-SC3030XM reduces the frame further to 2048 × 1536 at the same 40 fps. Choose MV-SC3060XM when mono spatial sampling takes precedence; move to MV-SC3050XM when global exposure and cadence matter more.

FAQ
How dense is the mono image produced by MV-SC3060XM?
The imager records 3200 × 1920 mono pixels, a 6.1 MP-class grid, using 2 µm pixels on a 1/2.4-inch CMOS sensor. Maximum acquisition is 20 fps, and the device uses a rolling shutter.
How should motion be assessed with the MV-SC3060XM rolling shutter?
The scene should be tested at the intended target speed because rows are exposed sequentially. MV-SC3060XM allows 540 µs to 200 ms exposure and reaches 20 fps, so stopped or controlled presentation makes use of its 3200 × 1920 detail.
Which grayscale tools can use the MV-SC3060XM pixel grid?
Functions include OCR, code recognition, category recognition, object detection, pattern and learning-based counts, exception detection, dimensional measurement, calibration and point-grasp location.
What optical and lighting adjustments are available on MV-SC3060XM?
The unit has an M12 mount with mechanical focus. Focused white light is fitted by default, while red, blue, IR or UV sources are optional. Two aiming LEDs and a 360° visual indicator support setup.
When does MV-SC3050XM offer a better motion profile than MV-SC3060XM?
MV-SC3050XM uses a global shutter and reaches 40 fps at 2432 × 2048, making it the faster mono option. MV-SC3060XM uses a rolling shutter at 20 fps but provides the larger 3200 × 1920 image.
