High-speed tasks and range position

Speed in a short 29 mm × 29 mm × 30 mm body is the main reason to select this monochrome USB camera. A 1/1.8-inch Stacked BSI CMOS sensor records 2048 × 1536 at 104.8 fps in Mono 8. Global shutter operation, 3.45 µm pixels and a 5 µs minimum exposure in High Sensitivity mode support sharply timed 3.2 MP acquisition.

It suits fast presence checks, part orientation, edge tracking and measurement on moving machinery. Trigger Width and Trigger Controlled modes can align the global exposure with a sensor or controller. USB 3.0 can carry both images and power through the Type-C connection, while the 8-pin M8 connector provides 9–24 V DC and discrete I/O when separate machine wiring is preferred.

MV-CT1MU0050/G raises resolution to 2448 × 2048 but reduces full-frame speed to 80 fps and uses a 2/3-inch sensor. MV-CT2CU0032/G matches 2048 × 1536 at 104.8 fps in colour, adding a 42 mm body and an M12 A-Code control connector. For GigE rather than USB, MV-CT2MG0004/G reaches 200.5 fps at the lower 720 × 540 monochrome format.

FAQ

Which C-mount lens options are listed for MV-CT1MU0032/G?

MVL-KF1628M-12MP and MVL-KF5024M-25MP are listed. Their C-mount interfaces and image circles cover the 1/1.8-inch sensor, and each has a resolution class above the camera's approximately 3.2 MP, 2048 × 1536 output.

Can the USB Type-C connection power this 104.8 fps camera?

Yes. USB power is supported, and typical consumption is 1.6 W at 5 V DC when USB 3.0 supplies power and fast heat balance is disabled. The alternative is a 9–24 V DC feed through the M8 A-Code power and I/O connection.

Will MV-CT1MU0032/G operate when attached to a USB 2.0 host?

The data interface is USB 3.0 and is compatible with USB 2.0. The stated 104.8 fps rate is tied to full-resolution 2048 × 1536 Mono 8 operation, so the available host-link bandwidth must be considered when using the slower connection.

Which exposure setting provides the shortest motion-stopping interval?

High Sensitivity mode reaches 5 µs, while High Full Well Capacity mode begins at 30 µs; both extend to 10 sec. The CMOS sensor has a global shutter, and the exposure controls include Trigger Width and Trigger Controlled timing.

How can the 3.2 MP image be reduced or reoriented in the camera?

Binning and decimation each offer 1 × 1, 2 × 2 and 4 × 4. Horizontal and vertical reverse image output is supported, and the monochrome stream may be formatted as Mono 8, 10, 10Packed, 12 or 12Packed.
