High-speed monochrome selection

Monochrome acquisition at 200.5 fps makes MV-CT2MG0004/G the fastest intensity-only option among these CT cameras. Its 1/2.9-inch Stacked BSI CMOS sensor combines 720 × 540 resolution, large 6.9 µm pixels and global exposure. Mono 8 carries the full-rate stream over Gigabit Ethernet, with higher-bit monochrome formats available when cadence permits.

The camera suits rapid edge presence, part counting, alignment and motion timing when the relevant feature fits within 720 × 540 and colour is unnecessary. Exposure begins at 23 µs, while Trigger Width and Trigger Controlled operation tie global capture to an external event. PoE, M12 control, M8 I/O and IP67 sealing support installation beside machinery.

MV-CT2CG0004/G matches the 720 × 540 size and 200.5 fps rate but adds colour output. MV-CT2CG0016/G provides 1440 × 1080 colour at 180 fps when more sampling is needed. MV-CT1MU0032/G raises monochrome resolution to 2048 × 1536 and uses USB 3.0 at 104.8 fps in a shorter 29 mm × 29 mm × 30 mm body.

FAQ

Which lenses are suggested for the 1/2.9-inch monochrome sensor?

The suggested models are MVL-KF1628M-12MP and MVL-KF5024M-25MP. Both C-mount lenses cover the 1/2.9-inch sensor, and their resolution classes exceed the approximately 0.4 MP represented by 720 × 540 pixels.

Can PoE carry power to MV-CT2MG0004/G at the machine?

Yes. The 1000 Mbit/s Gigabit Ethernet interface supports PoE through its 8-pin M12 X-Code connector. A separate 9–24 V DC feed may use the M8 A-Code port; typical consumption is 1.8 W at 24 V DC under the stated conditions.

Which format produces the maximum 200.5 fps monochrome rate?

The stated maximum is 200.5 fps at 720 × 540 in Mono 8. Other available monochrome formats are Mono 10, Mono 10Packed, Mono 12 and Mono 12Packed, and the Ethernet interface can also connect at 100 Mbit/s Fast Ethernet.

What timing functions support rapid part counting or alignment?

A global shutter exposes the full frame together, and exposure ranges from 23 µs to 10 sec. Trigger Width and Trigger Controlled modes are provided alongside Off, Once and Continuous exposure operation.

Does this 0.4 MP monochrome camera offer binning or decimation?

Binning and decimation are not supported on MV-CT2MG0004/G. The 720 × 540 image can still be reversed horizontally or vertically, and the model supplies both an M12 A-Code control connector and three I/O lines on the M8 port.
