Applications and neighbouring models
Balanced speed and sampling distinguish this 5 MP monochrome USB 3.0 camera. Its Stacked BSI CMOS sensor combines 2448 × 2048 resolution, global exposure and 80 fps in Mono 8. A 2/3-inch optical format with 3.45 µm pixels uses C-mount lenses, while the 29 mm × 29 mm × 30 mm enclosure keeps the imaging head short.
The camera fits moving-part measurement, assembly-presence checks and inspection of fine edges where 3.2 MP is insufficient but triple-digit frame rate is unnecessary. High Sensitivity exposure starts at 5 µs, and external timing can use Trigger Width or Trigger Controlled operation. A Type-C link handles USB 3.0 data and can provide the camera's 5 V DC power.
MV-CT1MU0032/G lowers the image to 2048 × 1536 and raises speed to 104.8 fps. MV-CT1MU0089/G expands width to 4096 pixels at 42 fps on a 1-inch sensor. If colour is required without changing 2448 × 2048 or 80 fps, MV-CT2CU0050/G is the corresponding CT2 option, with a larger 42 mm housing and control interface.

FAQ
What listed lenses suit the 2/3-inch sensor on MV-CT1MU0050/G?
The choices are MVL-KF1628M-12MP and MVL-KF5024M-25MP. Both use C-mount and cover the 2/3-inch sensor format; their 12 MP and 25 MP classes respectively exceed the approximately 5 MP formed by 2448 × 2048 pixels.
What is required to power the 5 MP CT1 through USB?
USB power is supported through the Type-C interface. Typical consumption is 1.6 W at 5 V DC with USB 3.0 providing power and fast heat balance disabled. A separate 9–24 V DC supply may instead be connected through the M8 A-Code port.
Which image format is associated with the maximum 80 fps rate?
The maximum is stated as 80 fps at the full 2448 × 2048 resolution in Mono 8. The USB 3.0 interface can also operate with USB 2.0, and alternate monochrome formats include 10, 10Packed, 12 and 12Packed.
How does this camera combine global shutter and exposure modes?
All sensor lines share global exposure. High Sensitivity mode spans 5 µs to 10 sec, while High Full Well Capacity mode spans 30 µs to 10 sec. Off, Once and Continuous exposure control are joined by Trigger Width and Trigger Controlled modes.
Can MV-CT1MU0050/G connect directly to machine trigger signals?
The 8-pin M8 A-Code connector carries power and I/O. It provides one opto-isolated input, one opto-isolated output and one bidirectional non-isolated line, allowing acquisition timing and a related output to be wired into the machine sequence.
