Where this model fits
Extra vertical sampling is the defining feature of this 12 MP monochrome camera: its Stacked BSI CMOS sensor delivers 4096 × 3000 pixels with global exposure. Full-frame Mono 8 acquisition reaches 23.9 fps with lossless compression enabled. The 1.1-inch sensor, 3.45 µm pixels and C-mount place demanding optical resolution in a 29 mm square body.
It fits inspection stations that must retain fine geometry over a nearly square scene, such as checking many static features or measuring a large component in one exposure. The global shutter and 10–19 µs UltraShort mode help arrest motion, while Trigger Width and Trigger Controlled modes synchronize exposure. GigE cabling can also power the camera through PoE.
MV-CT1MG0089/G uses the same 3.45 µm pixel pitch but trades image height for 32.5 fps at 4096 × 2160. MV-CT1MG0120/R reaches 4096 × 3024 with smaller 2 µm pixels, yet uses a rolling shutter and runs at 18.4 fps. For a directly attached USB 3.0 host, MV-CT1MU0120/G preserves 4096 × 3000 and raises the rate to 31 fps.

FAQ
Which lenses cover the 1.1-inch format of MV-CT1MG0120/G?
The listed pair is MVL-KF3524M-25MP and MVL-KF5024M-25MP. Each is a C-mount, 25 MP-class lens with a 19.3 mm image circle, selected to cover the 1.1-inch sensor and resolve the camera's 4096 × 3000 pixel image.
How may the 12 MP GigE camera be powered in a production cell?
Power can arrive through PoE on the Gigabit Ethernet connection or as 9–24 V DC through the 8-pin M8 A-Code power and I/O connector. Typical consumption is 1.8 W at 12 V DC when fast heat balance is not enabled.
What does the 23.9 fps figure for MV-CT1MG0120/G assume?
It is the maximum stated rate at the full 4096 × 3000 resolution in Mono 8 with lossless compression mode enabled. Data leaves through a 1000 Mbit/s Gigabit Ethernet interface on an 8-pin M12 X-Code connector.
Does this 12 MP global-shutter model support externally timed exposure?
Yes. Exposure can run Off, Once or Continuous, and the camera supports Trigger Width and Trigger Controlled operation. UltraShort timing covers 10–19 µs; standard exposure starts at 20 µs and extends to 10 sec.
Can resolution be reduced inside MV-CT1MG0120/G for another stream format?
Binning and decimation are each available at 1 × 1, 2 × 2 and 4 × 4. The camera also supports horizontal and vertical reverse image output, while monochrome formats include Mono 8, 10, 10Packed, 12 and 12Packed.
