Resolution, use and neighbours

Fine monochrome sampling leads the design of MV-CT1MG0200/R. Its 1-inch Sony IMX183 CMOS sensor provides 5472 × 3648 pixels at 22.3 fps in Mono 8 with lossless compression enabled. The rolling shutter, 2.4 µm pixel pitch and 46 µs to 2.78 sec exposure range make it a 20 MP GigE option for scenes where detail outweighs rapid motion capture.

Use it to examine stationary surfaces, read dense monochrome markings or measure indexed components over a large image. Rolling and Global Reset modes give integration choices for the rolling-shutter sensor, while Trigger Width and Trigger Controlled exposure tie capture to external events. The 29 mm body, PoE support and IP67 rating suit compact sealed stations.

MV-CT1MG0120/R is the lower-resolution rolling-shutter alternative at 4096 × 3024 and 18.4 fps, using a smaller 1/1.56-inch sensor. MV-CT1MG0120/G gives up the 5472-pixel width for global exposure at 4096 × 3000 and 23.9 fps. Select MV-CT2CG0200/R when the same Sony IMX183 resolution and rate are needed in colour and a 42 mm housing is acceptable.

Selection and applications

Dense monochrome surface inspection. Measurement of stationary large-format parts. Triggered 20 MP GigE capture.

Minimum kit: MV-CT1MG0200/R, a 1-inch C-mount lens, an 8-pin M12 X-Code GigE cable, and a PoE source or 9–24 V DC supply.

Nearby in the range: MV-CT1MG0120/R — Prefer it for 4096 × 3024 rolling-shutter imaging in the same 29 mm body.; MV-CT1MG0120/G — Prefer it when global shutter is more important than 20 MP sampling.; MV-CT2CG0200/R — Prefer it for colour output at the same 5472 × 3648 and 22.3 fps..

FAQ

Which listed lenses are matched to the 20 MP Sony IMX183 camera?

The lens list contains MVL-KF3524M-25MP and MVL-KF5024M-25MP. Both are C-mount, 25 MP-class optics with a 19.3 mm image circle, covering the 1-inch sensor and the approximately 20 MP, 5472 × 3648 image.

How should motion be treated with MV-CT1MG0200/R's rolling shutter?

The camera provides Rolling and Global Reset operation, plus Trigger Width and Trigger Controlled exposure. Its exposure floor is 46 µs. For parts that translate significantly during readout, the global-shutter MV-CT1MG0120/G is the closer motion-oriented choice.

What link configuration supports 22.3 fps at 5472 × 3648?

The published 22.3 fps rate is for 5472 × 3648 Mono 8 with lossless compression enabled. Transmission is by 1000 Mbit/s Gigabit Ethernet over an 8-pin M12 X-Code connector, and the interface can also operate with 100 Mbit/s Fast Ethernet.

Can this 20 MP CT1 be supplied from the network connection?

Yes, PoE is supported. A separate 9–24 V DC input is also available on the 8-pin M8 A-Code power and I/O connector. Typical draw is 1.9 W at 12 V DC with fast heat balance not enabled.

What environmental envelope applies around the compact 20 MP unit?

Operation is specified from –30 °C to 60 °C and from 20% RH to 95% RH without condensation. IP67 applies when the lens, lens cap and wiring are fitted correctly; storage extends from –30 °C to 80 °C.
